Hello Gents. Ive been a long time reader of this forum but have not participated due to employment concerns. Sad that one has to feel that way in this grand old Republic; however, this is the world we live in. I've been a shooter for better than 35 years and enjoy hunting, driving raceguns, and long range work. I hunt year round for food and do not buy market meats. I am currently limited to 1,000 yards but hope to work up to the mile in the next year. I recently spent 3 months hunting in Eastern Europe for a Wall Street Journal feature that should be published very soon. I'll post some pics in the hunting and ELR areas soon. I look forward to interacting with the community here. -SW

Hey frogman. Damn straight. You don't know who is gutting that animal, how it was stored, and how many people have handled it. Plus all the antibiotics etc....I'll pass. I have a steady supply of hogs, deer, alligators, turkeys, and tons of fish. Why buy crap if you can get the good stuff yourself and enjoy doing it? My freezers are always stocked and I eat nicely and healthily.

I use a hand thrown harpoon for the gators. We get some biggins down here.
