LL said "we're being watched" and IMO that's only inviting the outliers on this site to a call to action. I bet in their own way they feel like they're contributing and doing exactly what LL intended. If there are spies and moles, gotta call 'em out. That's how they took it.

All 2A related forums are “being watched.” Whether officially or unofficially.
There’s always someone from the other side hunting around online for anything that can be a black eye.
This is why anything borderline gets called out or deleted. It’s very well possible the poster had no ill intentions and used some unfortunate wording. Other times the poster knows very well what they are implying and they are trying to be clever with their wording by keeping it borderline. Both are handled the same way as no one has time to sort it out and no one wants any black eyes.
I really dont want to look through a decade of news articles.

LOL! Probably that brothel across the street and down from the bar "Paraguay's". I vaguely remember that place and the "two dogs" behind the bar (there's was actually only one, but I was so blitz'ed, I was seeing double at the time). My "libo buddy" decided he needed to dip his wick, so I just sat at the bar, drank more and acted as the local interpreter (the previous float I had been detached to an Intel unit there, and lived on Rota for a few months; I also spoke the language properly). Rota was a fun place, especially after the fleet left. Fun times...

For those of us who havent had the pleasure, where is Rota. googled it but didnt bring up much that seemed to apply.
My biggest fear is that they end up quoting my post critiquing @Saclee Rhino 's 'tactical loadout' to outline how elitist and well equipped we must all be, and in the process put his 'loadout' picture on TV.
This then causes a mass influx of fobbits, ARFCOMers and the people we shook off when we left Scout to reappear all posting his loadout pic as a reference to this bad ass sniper setup they want to mimic and making endless threads trying to find out what it all is.

About 50+ years ago some friends and I were out on a "Guided" hunt sponsored by the US Army. Air transportation, rifles and all of the ammo you could shoot along with "Box Lunches." and a pack to carry all of this shit in., Oh and canteens too were provided. Fill them up when the water was good.
We were wading through some of Vietnam's pristine waters and rice fields going on this "Hunt" when one of the guys on the team got a leech right up his Johnson, sucking blood and getting bigger and bigger.
He tried, but failed, to extract that bastard and in the end he got "Roped Out" but he had to tie his own "Swiss Seat." as none of us wanted to do the tying but we would have had it come to that.
He went out on a rope under a Huey but he would never relate to us what the Docs did to him.
He was back in the bushes 4 days later, going strong.

Ok, I am coming out; first post but have enjoyed the site after I starter reading the Precision Rifle Marksmanship book. I am a Norwegian and will by most of you be categorized as living in a socialist hell hole (even thou we have hade a conservative government the last 7 years). I have enjoyed the high level of discussions of MRAD vs MOA, load development in handloads, twist rates and other great subjects from the side.
I really hope the forum manages to keep its source of factual shooting information alive and thriving.

It’ll definitely always be a source for factual information. The members/mods/owner are very quick to run off the bad info suppliers.

The nice part, the political BS doesn't leave the Bear Pit or the Bar, so the rest of the site is pretty secure
We have a lot of subforums, most have great information and when that strays, usually it's brought back on track quickly. The Bar and Pit are more for entertainment and releasing of steam so it's not found in the other sections

Welcome aboard. And as someone who loves Norway and has motorcycled the length and breadth of it... in the snow... I will say Norway may have a reputation for socialism... but its reputation has NOTHING to do with how awesome the place is! I have stayed with Norwegians at their farms... shot with them... checked out a tank in one of their barns... climbed the Norsk Hydro cliffs (nearly killed me in June, how you guys did it in winter is beyond me).
Anyone from Norway is a welcome addition to SH... and an instant friend! Welcome to SH and looking forward to having you as a contributor here!
