Regardless of what shakes out in January, this election and the associated mess needs to be paraded in the public's face and election reform laws have to be passed. Any politician who votes it down should be called out and confronted on it daily.

In any event, I am not ready to give up on that Constitution and this country, so I am hoping they take the first step in correcting it. If they do not, I am guessing we have other problems to deal with first. THEN it should be getting fixed.

So who is going to pass these so-called "election reform laws"?

We've been talking about election fraud since the 2000 debacle. Lots of laws have been passed. But each election cycle, it turns into a partisan issue; it was Dems bitching about Diebold electronic voting systems in Ohio during the 2004 election, and if Republicans hadn't been so busy cheerleading for GW Bush, maybe the bullshit could have ended right there and then (go look up the history of Diebold to figure out how we got to the present day).

In four years, swing states will still be a clusterfuck at the state level. That's how they become "swing states". The CCP will continue to exploit this situation (go back and watch Pompeo's speech to governors from Feb '20 - it got buried between impeachment and the pandemic, but we'll be dealing with the effects far longer than corruption in Ukraine or Covid).

In four years, social media will be even more powerful. But hey, private companies should be able to do what they want and freely exercise their monopoly power, right?

In four years, when the Republicans run Jeb or Romney or whomever, we'll gladly line up to vote for them because "it's better than the alternative". I mean, they'll offer up some tax cuts, and that's good... right?

I don't see an end to voting, so the public will still think they live in a "democracy" (because most people don't understand the concept of a republic), and as such they believe that the ballot box, soap box, and jury box still exist in viable forms.

I draw exception to the term "obvious fraud", but not for the reasons you suspect. The past four years have demonstrated that roughly half of the population is incapable of seeing things which are obvious. Half the population does not believe that the FBI acted improperly in their investigation into Trump's campaign. They saw people like General Flynn and Paul Manafort get convicted (of issues unrelated to Russia), and simply accepted that as PROOF that Russian Collusion had occurred (their favorite media outlet told them it was "proof"). For those familiar with the charges, you could jail about half of the people who have ever worked in lobbying under the same or similar charges. D.C. is FULL of lobbyists. Many of them seek to hide their earnings.

As a "math kind of guy", I recognize that "smarts" is a bell curve. Roughly half of the population is on the lower end of that bell curve. On the Social-dynamics side, we are raising a population which gives greater merit to "emotional thinking, as versus analytical thinking". Any issue tends to get settled, based upon "how it makes voters feel", as versus "what is the logical and likely outcome" (Defund the police being a perfect example of this, all logical and smart people knew what the outcome would be). Between poor cognitive abilities, AND emotional thinking, well over half the population has some kind of limitation which clouds their ability to make sound decisions.

All of that said, I don't think we will have a "majority" which will see any fraud. Even worse, the "majority" will see anyone who promotes the concept of voting fraud, as Tin Foil Cap-folks.

Please note the dynamics of this election. Trump did not lose in every state, in the swing states, he only lost by "surprising numbers" in very specific cities. Those variances were enough to skew the overall state numbers towards Biden. You don't have to perform fraud in all 50 states to win. You don't have to do state-wide fraud to win a state. You only need a high population city (or two) in a swing state to shift the overall state vote to "the other guy" in a close election. This was the pattern seen in the last election. The problems could potentially be resolved by correction in about 10 cities (at this time).

This means most of the "state level elections" in most states are probably going to be fine (except in those districts which had the odd statistical "bump in them). Federal Elections are a different matter. Now let me define the state level elections being "fine". Let me be blunt, if you are not accepted by the local political machine (of either party), you Won't have as much *access* to election funds, endorsements, and media coverage. Rarely, do you have a candidate which can compete with these limitations (Trump was a statistical anomaly). This has been the circumstances for over a hundred years, and is not new.

Parents were told (and believed), they had to pay close attention to their child's emotive states. They were told they might have to allow latitude to address their child's emotional needs. Im not advocating violence. But historically, there is a point where violence is the only response to counter or stop the direction things are headed. Look at every revolution, resistance, or conflict in human history around the world. The powers that be ride the line between acceptance and resistance with constant pressure while simultaneously plotting ways to move it, gain more power, and undermine the ability or the people to resist. They are constantly on offense and the people are constantly on defense.

This model needs to go. It's way too easy for politicians to get away with corruption and when they do get caught penalties are virtually non existent. A thorough, PRIVATE investigation needs to take place and anyone involved with any fraud and/or corruption needs to be hanged for treason, if for no other reason than to serve as a deterrent to individuals that may otherwise choose to participate in similar schemes in the future. Why overcomplicate things? The simple solution is often the best one. We've made this situation waaaay more complicated than it needs to be.
