Hunting & Fishing Stalking an old doe and taking her with irons

This is a really old doe that I stalked and shot with my safari rifle while we were up at the Timberghost ranch. I still can't believe it worked but it did. One young doe was coming into estrus and had the bucks acting stupid. I think that's the only reason this actually went down.

My neck swells up this time of the year for sure.

I don't think I would ever have a problem getting paid to hunt. I will say that hunting behind a camera all the time sucks though. When you make a business out of one of your favorite pass times it changes things.

I will say one thing about this hunt. I haven't been that excited about a whitetail I've shot in a loooooong loooong time. Sneaking up on that old heifer and peaking over the grass and seeing 500" of total antler within 75 yards of you will get your heart pump'n in a hurry. If it doesn't you should start collecting stamps.......

It was a 300g Woodliegh soft point.

The ear pro I was using is made by Magnum Ear. Basically hearing aids with a shut off system like standard electronic muffs without all the crap in the way. We got them for Africa so we could communicate properly. Having a 470 Nitro go off next to your head with out them isn't enjoyable.
