Hunting & Fishing Step-Daughter's first bear!!

Here's a pic of my 15 yr old step-daughter who shot her first bear today. I know its small, but it's a 100% legal bear here in PA & she hunted hard to get it!!

I am proud of her - she earned it!!

I want a cub SOOOOOO bad....but it is highly looked down upon by the mass majority of hunters around my parts. I was watching the outdoors channel and saw one of the cabins on a guide show and he had a full body stuffed cub sitting on the coffee table. Ever since that show I have wanted one. Congrats on the bear. Any plans on what to do with the little bit of meat?

The little bugger (My step-daughter, not the bear) has informed me we are doing a full body mount - I said no problem for this one!! If she gets a 300# bear someday, its on her!!

Congratulations to you and her. She looks like she really enjoyed the experience. I would like to be a fly on the wall when the boys at school are talking about going deer hunting, and she speaks up and tells them she shot a bear. That would be GREAT. Tom.

just being able to pull the trigger on an animal is a great accomplishment for some. Congrats on her first bear and I am sure she will remember it for the rest of her life.
