Hi guys,
So I have a new 30p-1 can and a Remington 700 aac-sd.
I'm noticing that the 30p-1 is not really indexing on anything than the threads.
If you look at how the barrel is threaded, it's slightly wider at the base where the threading stops. This width, I believe, is thicker than the distance between the 30p-1's shoulder and where its threads begin. So basically, the suppressor is stopping maybe .5mm before it would actually index on the muzzle. Essentially, it's bottoming out on the threads.
That's not a chip out of the top of the barrel, just the light reflecting.
So is this a problem? Should I feel safe having the suppressor indexing like this? Do I need to get a new barrel?
Anyone else have this combo of suppressor and barrel?
It's strange because my other barrels actually have less material right at the bottom. They are basically undercut where the threads stop so this wouldn't be a problem.
