Rifle Scopes SWFA SS 5-20x50 FFP Rifle Scope Video Review

I have finally gotten the video review finished and uploaded on the SWFA SS 5-20x50.

There were only a few small things to pick on, but overall this is an excellent choice for a long range precision scope in the $1000-1500 price range.

Great review! Any chance of doing a comparison review of this and other scopes in the same price range? Maybe include IOR, Vortex pst, Razor, the new Bushnell, and NightForce scopes.

Excellent review. I would have liked to have seen more range footage, if only for entertainment value. Video length is always an issue. I am a little biased as I got several of these scopes for my firearms instructors and am in the process of outfitting my entire unit with them. We really like them. They work.

This review doesn't include all the scopes that you mentioned but is a great side-by-side review of the SS 5-20 FFP HD.

Great review...I can't agree more on everything about this scope. I can however say that mine does not have that much tension on the parallax ring, although its tight, its not unbearably tight

I realize this is a subjective question, but in your opinion, how does this scope stack up against the Bushnell 3.5-21x50? Thanks for taking the time to do these reviews.

Really they are neck and neck with no clear winner. If you need illumination, then the SS 5-20x is the way to go. If you need that lower 3.5x bottom end, then the HDMR is a better option. The SS 5-20x has more mounting options since it's 30mm, but once you settle on a mount it's not something that you are changing all the time.

couldn't agree more with the review, I have shot mine several times under rainy, miserable conditions and never worried about the scope, it preformed perfectly no matter what the weather was and hits at 1250 in the rain were no problems at all.

Nice review. Thank you for doing it.

You must have gotten a scope with a really stiff paralax ring. On my non. illum. version the paralax is just firm enough, but does not take unnecessary force to turn it.

Your thoughts on the illumination made me glad that I went non. illuminated and saved the $'s.

All in all very pleased with mine for the money spent.

Great review John. I couldn't agree more with everything you mentioned. I couldn't deal with the magnification selector or the parallax. For me the HDMR has the upper hand but as you mentioned it's a personal preference.
