Switching to 6mm. Which one? But wait, hear me out.

I'm currently shooting 6.5 Creedmoor and will likely switch to a 6mm of some sort when this barrel is finished. I know 6BR and 6BRA are where it's at but I despise reloading. So, I think I want to go 6 Creedmoor due to good factory ammo available.

I guess before I settle on 6 CM, I'd listen to any reasonable argument not to. I'm assuming recoil amongst these is similar. Is there any loaded ammo for 6BRA? Why should I NOT go 6CM and why should I go with the other?

6cm is the NEW master race. Faster and flatter than your 6.5cm.

less recoil than your 6.5cm but a bit more than the BRs.

IMO 6 ARC seems like it might be a good cartridge.

You could go 6XC, I have seen ammo for it off and on. It is pretty high but you can sell the brass and recoup some money.

@Jefe's Dope just get a 6CM. More ammo options with that cartridge than any other 6mm. If you compete, you'll just be changing out barrels every 1k rounds.

There is factory ammo for 6BR but when it is available it is not cheap by any means.

Loading for 6BR is really easy and if you do it right...reloading is not as bad as you make it seem.
I would be willing to help get you started and develop a load for it if you like.

No reason not to go 6 Creed. As you mentioned ammo available that is fairly inexpensive and accurate.

I love my 243AI. Minimal brass trimming, laser through the wind, recoils less than my 6.5 Creed.

I recommend anyone not reloading buy a Creed. Stupid amounts of match quality ammo and bullet choice in the normal times. In the abnormal times it's a crap shoot.


Hell, I thought about a 50bmg just because I can always find ammo, and $5/Rd to feed it isn't even much of a premium anymore.
