Looks like Tangent Theta changed the spec from 15in lb to 25in lbs on the new ones. Checked multiple new manuals. Figured I'd bring it up since it was talked about greatly about parallax issues in the past...

I’d keep it at 15 in lbs. I own and have owned premier heritage 3-15 and currently a 5-25 in badger rings, SPUHR, Larue tactical and adm mounts and always torqued to 15 in lbs with a Snap On torque meter. Hundreds of rounds across several bolt/gas guns over the years and never had an issue with loss of zero or scope movement. TT scopes would be very similar. 25 lbs is actually pretty tight for scope rings imo.

Premier 3-15 in a Spuhr at 20in/lbs with fix it sticks limiter and haven't had any issues at all with parallax or anything else.

Please post TT's or ATI's response to the question. I'd like to know. Both of my TT scopes' literature say 15 in/lb. I wonder if they simply increased the spec on paper or if there was a production change on newer units. I do know TT constantly updates their production process for little things here or there. For example I do know they changed the supplier and type of adhesive they use for internal parts. So it's possible they changed something, allowing for the scopes to deal with more clamping force.

Here you guys go on the Response from Crystal at ATI. We're good to go 25inlbs on the "P" models. Still 15inlbs on the "M" models
Some time ago, the question of torque value from a scope manufacturer has come up in another thread, so I emailed TT an additional question about their testing; sharing below:
Old thread but figured I'd add some info since I just went through mounting a premier 3-15 in two sets of rings. For reference my scope is an older model 3-15, Double Turn with 28 mils of adjustment mounted on an AR, flat top rifle with no cant in the base. First set of rings were Badger USMC high rings for the M110/SASR. Rings torqued to 15-18 in//lbs per Badger. Once zero was set I only was able to use roughly 19 mils of adjustment and everything else worked as it should.
I decided to try the Larue LT840 with 20 MOA of cant to see if I could get more adjustment out of the scope and place it in a better location for eye relief. Once mounted and bore sighted I was able to use all 28 mils adjustment but will need to verify on the range. I torqued rings to Laure specs of 30 in/lbs then when sighting in to check eye relief I noticed the parallax would bind. Undid the rings then incrementally torqued them back down. I determined that the lockup was happening at 25 in/lbs. At 22-23 in/lbs or below parallax was moving as it should.
