Has anyone here done this?

I read that you can do this yourself by going out on a hot day and using ammo that has been sitting in the sun, sitting in the shade, sitting in a cooler with ice, and then chronographing (sp?) the different velocities.

Anyone ever done this with different powders to see which powders actually hold up to their claims?

I see a lot of claims out there by powder companies. (8208XBR and Varget come to mind). It'd be nice to know which ones actually hold true.

Never did any long drawn out testing like that but have tested them in actual shooting in hot and cold temps and Varget varies about 10fps from teens to over 100. Other Hodgdon Extreme powders like H1000 and H4350 are also very close to this but vary a little more in the 15-20fps range for those temp ranges.

My Field expirences with Varget, H4895 and H1000 has been the same.

I have always wondered what the results of a independent test would be
