Texas Hearing on The 2nd Amendment

That shit was cool. Bloomberg's minions didn't have much of a showing at all. We, OTOH, had a hundred something men, women, and children of various races, origins, and religions all pretty much saying the same fucking shit from about 2PM til nearly 8PM. I mean, damn near everybody testified.

My day was pretty much - Up at 7:30AM, made coffee for folks, hit the capitol by about 9:30AM, got in, got signed up, and listened to pure gold get dropped repeatedly for hours and hours and hours. Out for dinner around 9PM, on the road back home by 10:30, and made it to Katy and my truck died spontaneously while cruising ~80MPH. Dunno wtf was up with that, but after a short period of not starting, it started and I got home a few minutes ago.

Oh, and some dude from Ohio interviewed me at some point. I dunno if they'll air it or not, or who they even were, but the gist was "We've been taking the leftist track and seeing life get shittier and shittier. Fuck that track. Let's do freedom."

For some reason this thread brought back the memory learning the Texas State song in elementary music class as the teacher played it on piano.

The history of gun control in Texas can be framed by the experience of Suzanna Gratia Hupp, she had left her gun in her vehicle when she went into the Luby's to eat with her parents because it was not legal for her to be carrying. She watched her parents get killed by a deranged gunman that she could have stopped had she brought her gun in with her.

They and the others died because her ability to be armed was infringed, and she, shock, was abiding the law. She was a present figure as we lobbied, successfully, for carry.

The recent quick ending of an attempted mass shooting in the church just further reinforces what can be done to stop bad people with bad intentions.

Any gun grabber that ever says gun restrictions never killed anyone is, well, wrong.

Disarm all gun grabbers, and remove them from any command authority over armed personnel, organized, employed, or not.
