If you do the Ranger 7 conversion, yes….everything’s swapped but a small ring of metal with the serial number from the original can. Turnaround time for me was about one week.
Wasn’t cheap, but I essentially got a couple brand new cans with no wait. New factory warranties on both too…. The SD can that I put through the restoration/modification program had already been converted to a hub mount by Ecco Machine (they’re awesome btw), but I had a couple light end cap strikes over the years, and frankly was worth it to me to see how the conversion would turn out, and to get a modern can with a replaceable/changeable end cap.
I like the Resto SD/Ranger can quite a bit actually. A good bit lighter and shorter than the SD can it was made from, and a very pleasing tone vs. how it sounded originally. Hard to describe, but more of a thump, like a mortar round, than a quieter rifle shot.
Or maybe my hearing’s just gotten even worse…LoL.

My TiRant was a simple recore, and the fact that it was actually at AAC waiting in the queue to be recored under warranty when they went tits-up still chaps my ass, but it’s nice to be shooting that one again, despite the price To het it fixed.
