Don’t know they do well in this barrel. Got lucky I guess. Thar was the only group I shot with it that day. Confirming / re zeroing after lending that scope out at a gas gun match.
PSA 75 black tip and AE 50 tipped both went into about 0.8” but I was shooting fast just checking where they land when zeroed with tmk.
Tmks kill great. Better than anything I’ve used

Yeah, you never know with barrels what they will/won't like. I'm just surprised about the TMKs as it seems like they just struggle in ARs for some reason. I have a number of precision oriented .223s that shoot 77gr SMK/Scenar/Berger OTM just fine, but won't group for shit with TMKs for some reason. Out of bolt gun they seem fine though.

No one in Service Rifle uses TMKs during Rapids for a reason. The tips get banged to crap.
That really goes for any polymer tipped bullet. On the 600 yard line where you are single feeding them and pushing them into the chamber, sure, but not feeding from a mag.

Just giving the problems service rifle shooters have had with them. 77 SMKs seem to do alright on animals. If there was an accuracy advantage with 77 TMKs the AMU would be using it on their SR team. Right now I believe they use 75 VLDs across the whole course. I’d have to check up on that though.
That’s my understanding too, but I haven’t been about to test any of the 77 TMKs I have next to my mk262

To this very day, you still can't go wrong with a good ol Mk 12. Even though I know in .mil their role has largely been taken over by M4 Block II's and URGI 's... And the M27 IAR/M38 DMR in USMC.
Actually considering doing a NSW Blk II DMR clone ala the picture below, but with one of Centurion's mid length gas SOCOM profile barrels.

Hard to beat a Colt SOCOM when it comes to accuracy from a chrome lined barrel.
Though I'm eager to try out Centurion's fairly new SOCOM profile mid-gas...

2500fps with 75gr ammo and a 36/200m zero. VMR2 reticle is good to 650m.

Decided to assemble another one tonight
Sub-MOA Criterion 14.5" C/L barrel's home got a cosmetic upgrade with Accuracy Int'l Dark Earth Cerakote.
Its new Sig contract overrun scope and mount look promising.

6ARC Odinworks barrel with a BCM upper and Seekins rail. VLTOR A5, geissele rifle super 42, H1 buffer, getting it done at 1000 yesterday with 106gr A Tips and 105gr Berger VLD
Sometimes it’s good. Most of the time it shoots 2MOA groups. I wouldn’t recommend anyone buy one
Stick with B5. The A2 stuff gets really annoying over time, especially if you have used the B5 grips and stocks before.
Thats Holosun's newer thermal/NV red dot. Believe it was introduced in Shot 2024.

Just finished this "micro DMR" upper on my Form 1 lower... Should make for a very accurate short to mid range coyote rig. Big thanks to @MSTN for the barrel recommendation! Temporary optic on there for now just to get it up & running.
Thanks man! It's an 11.3" 223 Wylde chamber, only put a few rounds through it to function test so far. Will get out next week to do some accuracy testing with 69, 75, & 77 grain ammo I have on hand & plan to chrono it then. I will say that it functions flawlessly so far with just an H buffer & standard carbine spring. I received a Sprinco "white hot" buffer spring in the mail a few minutes ago for a little extra insurance since it'll be run suppressed with heavy bullets 99.999% of the time. I'll definitely follow up when I get it back to the range Monday or Tuesday!
