I've been thinking about using that scope as a place holder on a SAM-R clone I have. It is exact excepting the scope, which quite frankly, I doubt is any better optically than the Arken. How do you like it on your Mk12, which is basically the same damn thing, kinda...

Confused: so the LMT upper has a DD 16” barrel, who did the extension modification for it to fit and is it timed correctly for the bolt to operate?

Not exactly clone correct but it's a 15.1 Devgru Reece mk12ish with one of my select fire lowers, Geissele SSF, NXS 2.5-10, Bartlien 15.1 barrel, KAC RAS LONG, AEM5

That thing looks great. I'm building nearly the exact same rifle. Not sure on barrel yet though. I've got the MRP 13.25 and the NF 4-16 should be in on Tuesday.18" Proof Carbon 6 ARC in a LMT MARS-L MRP.
What do you think of the MRP for this role? I figured it should eliminate any POI shift from bipod/tripod/barricades.
I have that exact barrel for sale right now. I am moving to a 14.5”. I love the LMT for this type of build, mono tops em all.
Nice gun. Not a great idea to mount one ring on the upper and the other on the rail though.
Ok that is one of the coolest looking barrels I’ve ever seen. Did you buy it like that or had it coated? I’d the latter, how does it not burn off with the heat from the rounds?
How you like that SH-4? I have an EP8 on my 8.6 Blackout build and absolutely love it. Lately I’ve been thinking of upgrading the glass on my 20” 6.5CM build (I built it to go 1000+ yards) and have been looking at Arken’s bigger glass.
Love their work, I have 4 barrels planned that need to sent to them for lmt conversion.
Man I’m really thinking of cerakoting one of my rifles in that same color Vortex puts on their optics now. That Midnight Bronze or whatever it’s called is so freaking clean. I’m not a brown fan at all. Like I see a rifle in KB and I keep walking, but that Midnight Bronze is so damn sharp.
So 16” circumcised down to 13.9”, did you P&W the muzzle device so you didn’t have to SBR it? Because it looks like you can still detach the can at will. Asking for a friend…
No this is an old LMT Defender lower that has been NFA for over a decade. I think there are a few muzzle devices out there that will get a 13.9” to legal length for those looking to do a P+W.
Ah ok. I’ve got my 12.5” and 10.5”, both of which are Form 1’ed, and my two 16” builds. But after getting my cans out of paperwork jail, a full length 16” with a can added to it, it’s a bit on the long side. I’m probably going to leave them, but when I’m at the range with them, they’ll annoy be a bit.

First from scratch build. I'm a CAR15 stock away from the 4lb realm. A dude at the range asked me "does it even shoot bullets?" Classic.
Craddock Precision did it. Spiral fluted cerocoated in flutes only. It is heat and solvent safe.
I like the idea of putting only a Romeo 5 on a rifle to keep it simple and lightweight. This is my wife's rifle. She said that she doesn't want rail covers, lights, or anything else on it. It's so much lighter than my rifles. I'm jealous of her rifle every time I pick it up. The combination of these parts makes for a handy lightweight rifle that shoots great, but it's nowhere near 4lbs light. It's more like 6lbs. Geissle 16" taper profile barrel, 13.5" mk14 G rail, and Sig Romeo 5.
Is that a hoot to shoot or what? That makes me want a piston upper. What can is that, deadair?

I have done some crude rattle can painting on my upper, as you can tell.
Very happy with the result and this rifle shoots and handles great.
My 300 BLK build from earlier this year. Aero upper and lower. 8.2" barrel w/ SA adjustable gas block. KAK down vent BCG. Radian Raptor charging handle. B5 SOPMOD stock with Law Tactical folder. Geiselle SSA trigger. Trash Panda can.
Done stop fucking with it. Does everything I need it to do. Little gassy on the starboard side though.
