Our church has cancelled normal services because of our large number of older members . HOWEVER, we have numerous members who take care of the normal practice of help with the local community (meals on wheels, helping the elderly that cant get out ,ect) is still continuing and may have to ramp up if depending on how we get hit with this.

The administration knew covid-19 would make it to America. Anyone could see how fast it spread in China and know it'd do the same here. Yet they did nothing but sit there and watch instead of ordering the production of test kits and as a result, people got turned away from being tested.

Initially , most of the kits were not working because of problems with the chemicals in them . The test kits had to be remanufactured. You think that's Trumps fault. Ok , maybe you should quit listening to PBS , and MSLSD.

Converting to protect 2A will not just entail the ability to purchase and own firearms in general. They will have to embrace EVERY facet of American tradition and culture that we hold so dearly. Free markets. Republic system of government. Electoral college. Public school education agendas that teach true, undiluted, and patriotic American history as well as unbiased global history. These are just some of the values that go hand in hand with our RKBA. Because of these institutions, the 2A exists, and vice versa.
If they "embrace the right to own guns" but continue to promote socialism and other things that are not compatible with the American system of society, I regard them as potential enemy combatants. The only reason why they want guns is to use them against us and our institutions. Become a true Patriot, or step aside out of the way... That is the message we need to send to newbies in the gun owning community, because THEY NEED to understand just why they have their freedoms in the first place.
A test kit would change nothing. You either have it or you don’t regardless of any test. Just like you being stupid, you are regardless if you took a test that would clearly prove it.
By testing people for it, we'd have a more accurate idea of how fast it was spreading and how bad it actually is. This is kind of important when dealing with a pandemic.
I agree with that as far as data gathering is concerned because all the media, cdc, etc are doing is making up fake statistics based on nothing in order to panic people. With that being said, I wouldn’t take a test and damn sure won’t be receiving a vaccination.

Interesting observation I have made recently... People are not worrying about global warming or what gender they were born as much when essential items are actually running the risk of completely running out in the supermarkets. And they are certainly not promoting gun bans "for the children" when the key word of the day on any Web and news platform is "mandatory quarantine", and "lockdown", backed up by countless photos of guys wearing full hazmat gear.
I am usually a pessimist *AHEM*, realist... But I am seeing a very good thing come out of this whole saga. We ARE long overdue for something like this and it seems to be a dry run to kick our ass and make sure we remember what our real priorities as a civilization is. Hopefully, because of this dry run, our scientific and technological infrastructures can be ready when a continent sized chunk of metal and ice from the Kuiper Belt really makes a beeline right for us, or the first survey ship back from Europa accidentally introduces a proto RNA virion from a Jovian iceberg that seems to just have a healthy affinity for human brain cells...

Honestly, I think it's still too early to tell. The data coming out of China is and was likely not truthful (artificially low death rate or number of infected), Iran's data is known to be a complete fabrication (several estimates put them over 1 million infected a week ago, and we know they are hiding the actual number of deaths). Even with their artificially optimistic data included, the global death rate of resolved cases is now up to 8%.
Data from Italy, Spain, Germany, France, and UK is trustworthy and is much more bleak. Italy has 44% of resolved cases ended in death, Spain is 33%, Germany, France, and UK have too few resolved cases for the death statistics to be meaningful yet, but the numbers are really high.
On the other hand, S. Korea's data is probably trustworthy and their death rate of resolved cases is only 5%. So we really don't know how deadly this is because the numbers are all over the place and we know that some of the numbers are manufactured.
If the majority of people in America can self isolate for a few weeks, the rate of spread could remain low enough that our hospitals are not overrun, the infected could receive good medical support, and our death rate could be very low -all of which might prevent widespread military quarantines and panic.
