Slavic memory... do you even know about it?
I spent a bit of time in Ukraine in the early 'aughts.
You would think that WWII ended last week.
No, none of this is correct at all.
This is actually a weird mix of fake Rooskie misinformation about "the secret promise" regarding NATO and "Commies are gone, so why still NATO?"
Loss of Crimea was based on the assessment that Obama would not honor the Budapest Memorandum and preserve the territorial integrity of Ukraine against the Neo-Soviet violent expansion. It was an accurate assessment- and paved the way for the assault on the capital that took place in 2022 under Biden.
This isn't a Democrat thing BTW, but more of a failure to honor our obligations thing.
The Hammer and Sickle banner marched on Georgia in 2008 under George W. Bush, and the Rooskie animals tried an assault on the capital (stopped by geography and a little planning rather than an outpouring of American aid). They walked away with Abkhazia and South Ossetia under a Republican president, just as we may see them try to take Donetsk and Luhansk under the incoming Republican administration.
Anybody that starts their point by stating "that's Russian misinformation" should be immediately discounted and ignored.
It's such a cheap bullshit tactic, and shows that their argument is baseless and without merit. It's pure propaganda.
