There's a lot of 6.5CM hate all of a sudden. WTF happened?

All of a sudden, people who in their SH posting history will have posts about how they got a 6.5/6.5 is 1000 times better than 308/they dumped all other calibers, are now just dogging it.

What are we supposed to be shooting now?

Did we go back to 308?

Some new wildcat round you cant find a fucking barrel for because that worked out so well for that 224 Valkyrie or whatever the fuck that was?

Started when the millennial 6.5 shooters started trash talking us Boomer .308 shooters.

Then we demonstrated that we weren’t going to be intimidated by skinny-jeans-wearing manbun shooters with glorified .243’s.

So we made relentless fun of their 6.5 Gay Tiger rounds and as millennials do, they backed down, hid in their safe spaces and realized that If they want to be regarded as something other than lumbersexuals and Soy Boyz, they would need to jump on the .308 train and start shooting a mans cartridge.

In the mean time, the men all moved to .338 and .300 NM and just use out .308’s when we don’t want to scare and intimidate the soy set.

Ok… talk amongst yourselves. I have some .470 Capstick to load…

On the other hand we all make fun of those shooting 6.5s.

I think its the "I'm too cool to be with the 'in' crowd" LOOK AT ME I AM DIFFERENT AND TOTALLY COOL.
I missed the same meeting. Maybe its those pussy PRS shooters and their 67lb 6mm pea shooters because they can't handle recoil.

I know for sure that for many of us, it’s just some funnin’ we do because we can. In fact one of the guys we shoot with (a known member here) had his new 6.5 Creedmoor barrel prominently marked as “6.5 Manbun”. It gets some good laughs at the range. I see it almost like the whole Miss Kitty thing that went around for a while. A way to not take ourselves too seriously all of the time.

My first long-range match was about 16 yrs ago...I was so new to the game that I shot it with my scoped M1A super match that I had previously used, unscoped, for High Power matches...All of us got schooled by a leather sandal-wearin, long-haired hippy dude shooting a 22-250. Props to him.
To their credit , the tacktard and LEO shooters didn't mutter a negative peep.

PS- Everyone knows that 7.55 Swiss is the new 6.5CM
