I broke my leg and missed half a year of work the year before so I qualified for a little stimulus check. $263 the last go around definitely made up for making 50k+ less.
I'm ok financially but I missed out on 50k+ over the country being shut down last year. The year before was the broken leg. $1400 dollars is a joke
The only thing that would have been meaningful is not shutting the country down for a year and ruining people's lives. I don't need the stimulus.
So how does that work? No rent coming in but you have property taxes and utilities going out? Your renter get stimulated but you don't get paid? I don't understand.
It's working exactly as it was designed. These are features, not flaws.
By my count the Feds owe me $48,872. That's just for last year and it doesn't even include taxation is theft.
No, it isn't. If it was, then it would be a hell of a lot better. This is your cost of living going way way way up, and the elites getting huge sums of cash, freshly "printed" (aka poofed into existence) , in exchange you get $1800 or whatever it is. The massive inflation (actually stagflation is what's happening), is going to hit lower incomes and middle incomes the hardest as they cannot hedge in gold/silver/stocks. It's already happening. Been to the grocery store lately? The less durable a good is, the faster it reacts to inflationary causes, so groceries and other perishable items show it very quickly compared to other. The very last thing to show it will be people's paychecks, and it won't happen there at the same rate due to the many (seen and unseen) taxes on that paycheck.
Many of us are taking these to court and the judges here are making sure the things on that form actually happened and if not, they toss it. Of course our judges are probably a little different than your depending on where you are but, just so you know.
