He was cheating on his wife with another woman, her husband found out, went to his house, knocked on the door, when my bro came to the door, the other guy said " is your wife home? he said yes, the other guy said"I want you to get your wife and tell her what you have been doing to mine" I know what he did, but I ask, What would you do?

Okay I had to go out the engine bay and talk with my guys on this one. There are too many unknown variables to answer this. Things like how big the guy is, what was his demeanor, any prior encounters, previous friend or acquaintance, what kind of shape you marriage is in, and a few others that were kicked around.

I personally wouldn't put myself in that position in the first place. I think I would most likely step outside closing the door behind me and attempt to have a civil converstaion with him and prevent him from talking to my wife at all.

One of my firefighters said he would have just hit the guy without saying a word and closed the door.

OK, a little bigger than him, and really pissed, he was not packing, just really pissed,when I talked to him, I said, WTF, your married 18 yrs, she is amazing and beautiful, what he did was call his wife over and then told what he was doing, she is divorcing him....... honestly I would have kicked the shit out of the guy to save my wife the embarrassment, even if I took a beating....

That ^ makes no sense. The embarrassment the wife suffered is not because he didn't "kick the guys ass." Its because he cheated on her.


Even if you kicked his ass your wife would walk out to see what the hell was going on and the bloody dude would explain and you'd look like an even bigger dick.

If you got your ass kicked then you would look like a complete f'n idiot, a pussy and still a cheater getting a divorce.

Maybe if he decided to fight and did win then he would have saved <span style="font-weight: bold">himself</span> a little embarrassment instead of being called out and told on like he was a little kid. I believe the divorce would've still happened though.


He was screwed as soon as there was a knock on the door. Any way it could have worked out he knew what he was doing and that divorce was a possibility/probability. Looks like he paid the price for what he was doing and sounds like he's lucky he dodged an ass whipping to boot.

If you punch the dude and he files charges then you'll be in jail while she moves all her stuff and yours out of the house...

Yeah I get that but from the description of the bigger, pissed off guy wanting to see the confession it wasn't your buddies decision. I think he got told how it was going down and he just hung his head with his bottom lip shriveled up and said "yes sir" followed by "honey, could you come here for a minute?"

That's all I meant but I see what you were saying too. It would have been a lot cooler for him and his wife to talk about it without Lou Ferigno standing there breathing fire down his neck.

I hate to hear your buddy is getting divorced of over 18 years of marriage, but before he cheated he should of maned up and ended it. To cheat on your wife is wrong. But if you are going to do it, do it out of state. Don't do it close to home.
