This Ruger Predator will shoot

I bought a Ruger American Predator and a magpul stock for a light hunting/ steel shooting rig. Turns out this thing will shoot. My load I've started working up:
-140 eldm
-h4350 (41.8-42.8)
- new Lapua brass
-cci 400 SR

I'm pretty impressed with a .2" 3 shot group (not done with load testing and shooting 5 shot groups). Factory 147 eldm match is just .4" with 4 shots.
I know these had a decent reputation for accuracy but I found an exceptional one it stays close to this after a hundred rounds or so.

I tried to do replicate manners gap camo on the stock, and it was actually really easy after looking up others doing the same.

I have a Ruger American Predator in 243 that I dropped into a MDT chassis that is a tack driver. The barrel heats up fast because Of the thin profile but it is accurate.

Have you ever stretched its legs out yet? Have you taken it out in difficult environmental conditions?

These things look like they're a phenomenal rifle for the price point. Thinking about grabbing one of these puppies while waiting for my build...

Haven't tried distance yet but I head to the range tomorrow and will shoot out in increments all the way to 1k. I'll update how it does.

I haven't seen one that doesn't shoot, and have yet to hear bad about them.

The factory stock is flimsy, yet my BIL is shooting sub-moa and banging steel out to 650 off a bipod and back bag.

I'll be grabbing a couple for my kids in .223. Cheap rifle that shoots way above it's price point should be the perfect trainer.

Mine flings the 147 factory load tighter than my RPR. such a shame they use such garbage stocks and mags from the factory. It’s sitting in the back of the safe until I can put it in an LSS

If they did something like the tikka ctr stock, that would be great. But the magpul option is why I even considered it. Heck of a value for $500, after you sell the factory stock on ebay. The 223 is probably my next purchase with one of these since it has an 8 twist.

So I took it out today. It was shooting great all the way out to 900. Since it was just steel I couldn't measure groups, but I made solid repeatable hits that were sub moa. This load and rifle were a solid match.
At 600, I hit a 6"x6" plate 4 times in a row. Even the 2.75" circle was hit a few times (wind really starts playing a factor with targets that small tho). I recommend this rifle to hang with any budget/ hunting option.

I have the same Ruger predator in 6.5 creedmoor with the Magpul stock. It really is a remarkable shooter for the price point.

Looking at one chambered for 308, and the Magpul Hunter stock, desert tan. This scope.

My other 308 is a heavyweight LR rifle.
