I may be able to pick a bulk box of 30 call Lapua lock base FMJs for my 308 for less than smks. Anyone have opinions on these? How jump sensitive are they? According to Mr.Litz, the bc us good, not great (better than the 167 scenars, 168 smks, 175smks, but behind all the bergers).

Just wondering if it's worth the effort of developing a load for them. Would need to be loaded to mag length.

The 170 BC is quite good and they are wonderfully accurate. 45 grains of varget seated at mag length and you should be darned close to where you need to be.

I use mine in the AW and also the Remington.

I’m running the 170 LB (B476) at 2750fps, that’s slightly on the warm side for my rifles. Primers just starting to flatten.
    COAL is 2.820
So far I have shot these bullets at 800 and 900 metres with good results, also I might add I’m at sea level.

I have noticed at 1126 metres (1231 yds.) that some of the bullet holes were just starting to key hole.
You had to look carefully to see that some of the holes were out of round. The bullets are going through transonic no doubt. I haven’t shot these bullets further to see what happens past 1250 yds.

I just cracked open a carton. Now I’m down to my last 1700 bullets.
