Videos can be, an have been edited to sell a product. The product in this case is views for him, (aka you-tube money). So unless we know the person or know someone we trust that knows them, no sane person I know that in shoots out side of the interent, is going to take a video like that at face value.
Ive never really watched enough to form an opinion one way or another.

I can't speak for mcameron, but the line of shooters better than me is pretty long and I'm not convinced Rex is in it.

I’m a certified firearms instructor, an NRA Master class shooter and shot D1 NCAA rifle...I’m hardly falling gun shy at the feet of Rex-Kwon-do....
My problem with Rex is that his followers see him as a messia of shooting( which you so kindly just proved for me, I mean, how could anyone shoot better than mighty Rex!!)... and he touts himself an “expert” even though he has no pedigree in shooting.....he does nothing but regurgitate out of date army field manuals, and charges people $600 to due it.

SH is becoming the snobby cool crowd at school. I have no opinion of Rex one way or another. He's a dude that likes to shoot and knows some stuff and likes to share it and gets paid to do it. I've watched a few of his vids and learned a couple of things. Does he have it all correct? No. Does anyone? But while his haters are sitting in an office pecking on a computer bitching about him he is out doing something he loves and getting paid for it. There is a clear winner in this scenario.

He has very poor form when you consider the fundamentals, if I saw me in the same way I would not post the videos. The footage would be deleted. There are times that I breath through my mouth, most of those clips I delete because they show bad form. I do it because it's a bad habit and I don't breath through my nose very well, and if I run back and forth I'll hang my mouth open. Poor form, which I acknowledge.
The world is full of Good / Bad Shooters, guys who have learned to adapt their bad habits and make hits, or creatively edit their videos to appear to show them shoot better than they actual shoot. With modern equipment you can hit targets without touching a rifle, that is entirely possible today, so it has to be more than just hitting the target.
If you teach you should adhere to the fundamentals of marksmanship, however if you don't know any better, and feel the hit is good enough, drive on you crazy diamonds.

Serious question, what are a few things he teaches that are incorrect? I honestly haven't watched enough to know. I watched his "spotting bullet trace" video to get tips on positioning and how to see it better and his tips worked well(until mirage got so bad you couldn't see anyting). Honestly can't remember watching any other ones. I know I have but I don't remember what he said.

If he never shoots against any competitors on an equal playing field, how can we determine if he is a good shot? Video editing makes it easy to be a good shot.
Sure I could hit a water bottle at 1000 yards, who knows how long it will take. 1 - 5 - 10 rounds?
Now let’s throw that same task on the clock with a limited number of rounds and 100+ people all trying to do it on the same day at the same location, I bet we’ll get a gauge of how good he really is.

Shooting is a very small part of the overall equation for some of us here.
Personally, I couldn't give less of a shit as to how someone shot at some PRS event that they dressed up as the Micheline Man for.

This video is at least 4 years old, I did it originally for Accuracy International when the PSR Rifle came out. So bare in mind the time frame of it.
To put it in context, I had this video in a Powerpoint I used for class, it's my "Break Video" so when I hit it, we go on a 10 minute break, it's really just a place holder for me when teaching.
So pay close attention to the fundamentals demonstrated, look at the cheek weld, trigger control, follow through, etc. That is really what it shows, but there is a secret in here I will post after.

I asked what he gets wrong and no one can seem to point it out. They just say “late to the pet bro” or “look it up”.
