I was calculating the 50 yd target. Is the 100 yd target for scoped rifles? If so that seems too easy though I don't shoot rimfire.
It's only a 20 rd match, 5 each a 600, 800, 900, & 1K in 20 minutes, what is the problem?
1 moa across the course an you clean it, that so hard? No sighters or wind flags allowed but, for those with outstanding shooting skills, that should not be an issue should it?
yeah the 50m target is easy as fuck....the 100m is a pain
its "any sight" and "irons", you have to shoot both........most people shoot scope for anysight.
and if it were centerfire, that would be a cake walk..
the problem is .22 have shitty BC.......so a missed wind reading of 1mph is going to throw you off target by about .5"

I was being facetious bro. But if someone wants to pay my entry to see me shoot I am there all day. I could probably pull off a clean 20 rounds if altitude/conditions are the same as my area. I've never shot anywhere else so I don't know how big of a difference that would make. Two small kids and two business to run make long shooting outings nearly impossible. But if it was free the wife can't say no lol. Though I'm not sure I want to drive 5 hours to shoot 20 rounds. We better be able to shoot a lot of other shit before or after.

I, an others have drove 400 miles just to shoot two rds to get dope. If you have never shot anywhere but your home range before, HR is way down the road for you.
Not just my home range but my general area within 2 hours. I like reloading and shooting stuff. It’s a hobby. I haven’t seen the need to drive 400 miles. I have driven 400 miles for other things though so I don’t see the relevence to where I currently shoot.
Depending on what type of shooting you enjoy or are involved in, will dictate how far you drive to get dope. The thing about getting same is after the first shot it's just about correcting an holding until you think mother is the same or very close as the first. Shooting a KD target over an over is great if that is all your ever going to shoot, but different A/O's can require as much as a 4-5 moa difference with the same yardage muzzle to target. I often have a 4 moa difference between the 1K target during the year with a 308, an as much as 3 moa w/a 300wm at a 1K, just at HR alone.
Yea about a mil or half mil difference throughout the year is not unusual at 1000+ in my area depending on conditions. I can tell you I would not be making a trip to get dope and another trip to shoot the comp just so I could impress someone from the internet. If people are doing that to get an edge they should just let people get dope the day of or the day before. Being able to beat me because you had more time to make two trips doesn't make you better at doping and shooting than me. It means you have more time than me. If we want to get serious lets go 800-1500 UKD no spotter shoot til you hit. I'd be in for that. Not being able to spend 2k on a rangefinder in the last two years might give me an edge there lol.
I'm going to be impressed either way, cause at best I'm a 2-2.5 moa shooter, so you have nothing to worry about there. H/R has some very good shooters but no one to date has been a moa match shooter.

If you clean it everyone who has ever shot there from around this rock, will be in shock. One guy came close with a 195 using a 223 an the whole crowd was pulling for him. j-huskey (here) who owns the range can tell you the quality of those who have shot there in all the years, past. Many have came from lands far away, many who work or have worked for uncle have gave it their best shot but H/R is still getting the last laugh. Max score (a clean) is 200 an we all have seen the time were a 75 - 80 would win the match. Looks easy, sounds easy, but mother nature has always to-date had the last laugh. H/R has beat my ass into the ground more times than not. On practice day it all looked an was so easy to shoot a high score, then match day everyone went to shit. The list of H/R excuses exceeds Franks bandwidth. Mother nature has a lock on the scoring truck, as when it comes back the shooting environment changes on Que.

I think Rex gave a relatively expensive seminar at our private/club range.
I can only add third hand info but it appears that he will not be allowed back.. I was not there and not 100% sure of the details, but that doesn’t sound like an experienced long range instructor who knows how to manage FOF and groups of people. BTW there are a couple on the hide that have first hand experience.
I will say that I did find his videos entertaining. For the guys arguing non-stop that you must have a duplex without any adjustable turrets or objective, must zero 2.75” high at 100 on your pie plate, to be an effective hunter and all because you must be fast on target— lol.. For these types, his videos might be a value.
Maybe they’ll get inspired and take a real class.. the only downside is that now they might take the wrong class.

HR is a match that requires 20 shots to be fired in 20 minutes, 5 rds each at 600, 800, 900, an 1k yds. The targets are a black circle MOA in size, w/a 2 moa pencil outer ring on white. A moa scoring ring hit equals 10 points a 2 moa hit equals 5 point an anything outside of those gets you the look from j-huskey, (here) the match director an property owner. There are 4 classes .223, 308/30-06, derivative an any thing goes up to 300wm, save 7STW an such, that damages the steel. No sighters, no wind flags, no bench rest equipment ect. There are a few other rules but this is the short version. Highest score to-date is a 195 shot with a 223, max score (a clean is 200 points) Practice day is always on the Friday prior to match day.PM me if you what to shoot there an we'll start the ball rolling, as it is a invitation only match. Next match is July 28 w/ practice the 27th There will be a August match an I believe a Sept match as well, then nothing until Feb of 2019.

ive always loved the "no sighters" and "no bullshit equipment" matches.
i love me some smallbore......but theres just something about shooting coats/ pants/ shoes and all the other highly specialized bullshit you need to compete........takes away from the "purity" of it.
It is, some of the best folks you'll ever what to meet an the back rounds/experience there, will astonish all but the most paid worldly traveled person. We have lost some good folks over the past few years to different illness an age but still have a clan, that could be your worst nightmare if/when shit ever went hot.
