Hi Guy's,
Could you help me with the T1x aftermarket parts? What is available and who has them?
I was also wondering if a T1X action will drop into a T3x stock? I want to put a T1x into a T3x Sporter stock if possible.

Thanks for your help
Shawn

it fits, but you need to remove material in the magwell area, in order for the dbm/trigger gaurd to fit.

I have a t1x in a sporter stock, and another member here does as well

definitely something you can do yourself with a dremel

i think this is what your asking?

Too bad there’s no hunter or forest pattern wood Tikka stocks.

Hello MM,

Is that a T1x in that T3x Sporter stock? It looks like it. That is what I'm after.
How do you like the T1x? Would you do it all over again?

Thank you
Shawn

yup, that's a T1x in a T3x sporter stock.

I like it, I would do it again.

Plus there's a lot of chassis options, and I can't complain with accuracy.
Going to do ammo lot testing with all the top ammo's this weekend, to see if I can get a solid 0.50moa
- If I can't, I'm going to buy a vudoo, but at 1/4 the price, not really a fair comparison

Buy the Vudoo too..... you will like her.
I have extra bolt parts just in case. They are also really inexpensive.

MM,
Did you get your stock from MGW? Who's glass are you using and at what power? I cant make it out.
Is that some sort of anti-slip tape you have on the scope to keep the covers in place?
Your gun is virtually everything I want in a T1x except I want mine silenced. If your using that brake as a thread protector, it is very cool looking and I would use it while not shooting just for the COOL factor. I don't care for the plastic thd pro that the factory ships the rifle with. I have no problem with poly magazines whatsoever but I would like to see metal thd pro and bottom metal and bolt shrouds.

I have a 1700.00 Anschutz and it has a cheap stamping for the bottom metal. I also have a couple CZ 457 that sells for about $500.00 and $700.00 and their bottom metal is a very refined two piece unit. I suspect manufactured by the MIM process.

As I look at your rifle set-up, can you explain to me what the entire front rail and bi-pod is and does. I hate to be missing out on
something that would enhance my shooting experience.

Thank you
Shawn

Tikka should call that thicc stock the “biathlon” model, not the sporter. Marketing dept was high on Finnish weed or something.

Below are the Tikka hunter and forest stocks. Pity there doesn’t seem to be a source for them, other than take-offs.

The T1x will fit most any T3 stock as long as its designed for the factory single stack DBM. I have my T1x in a GRS sporter stock, and it's awesome. I've also fit it into the Mcmillan A3 that I had, a McMillan A6 that I have, and a Manners T6. They all fit nicely and make for a 22lr that fits way more like my full match rifles. The chassis rifles I know less about, as they're all set up for the AICS mags, so they may need some fitting.

MM,
It all looks really cool. It looks like Sterk makes some nice stuff for the Tikka.
Thank you for sharing your information.

Have you tried Wolf match target, cci Precision

I haven't tried any SK/Wolff/Lapua stuff yet

I actually didn't get to finish my lot testing, cause it was raining the first time, then windy the next.
then came the lock down in California.

I hear people getting good results with SK/Wolff/Lapua

I might break down and just send my gun to Lapua for lot testing

Have you removed the barrel block? You may want to watch this video and resolve your accuracy

with the sporter stock, since it's designed for a T3, there is no barrel block

I may pillar and bed the stock though

MM,
The last thing I need is another .22 bolt gun but when I look at your Tikka, I can hardly stop myself. What kind of pull weight have you been able to get? I hope MGW still has the stocks up until June. Who has been your best after market parts source? I'm thinking that I need to sell my 45-70 to help fund my second Vudoo. Other than shooting her with the .22 insert, I just never shoot her. :-(
Do you happen to know anything about the Lithgow 1o1A. I'm drawn to the rear lug bolt design. Don't know why, but it just strikes me as cool. btw.... SK seems to work well in all of my guns but have nothing that likes Wolf. I plan to get a case each of SK long range and rifle match and one of Center X next month after the house sells. I have gotten below 6 bricks each and it makes me feel very uneasy.

I picked up this MAS 45 recently and she is a hoot. I decided to broaden my collection to include military trainers. It turns out that she is surprisingly accurate therefor I'm having a base made for her. I better start a new thread for that.

All Tikka's have no problem getting to 1lb trigger pull with a spring change
- I have all my guns set to 1.5lbs
- you should be able to get to about 1.75-2lbs with the factory spring

no idea on the Lithgow stuff, no one I shoot with has one

How did your ammo testing go?
