Excited to give these a try, longer 223 mag. Going to play with some 75 eldm. Hopefully does the job for a plinker/coyote gun.
I run the 75gr ELDM at 2.49" out of MDT mags in my 223 Varmint. Try H4895 for the best velocity and it is temp stable. I ahve taken it out to 1400 yards, really fun to shoot suppressed. I am using NAMMO brass and CCI450s. Start at 24 and work up.
Sorry my choice is 147 ELDM
140 Berger VLD
Thanks for all your replies so far.Berger 130 hybrid
85 thousands. I wouldn't say that it was as fine tuned as possible but I'm getting the level of precision that meets my needs so I quit messing with it.How much jump, if any?
Sounds a lot like my thought process. Thank you for the information85 thousands. I wouldn't say that it was as fine tuned as possible but I'm getting the level of precision that meets my needs so I quit messing with it.

Varget was just a little slower for me. Still close to 3000 fps and very accurate.I’ll keep that in mind, got a couple pounds of varget to try first.
CTR or normal plastics? Where?Did y’all see the release of the KRG bravo that accepts tikka magazines?
Just go to the website and click on inlet and you'll see it listed for the CTR magazine.CTR or normal plastics? Where?
I think the newer Bravos have no issues with the Tac A1 trigger. I bought one a few months ago and it fit without modification. They do use the AICS mags, but they just announced a version that will work with the CTR mags for those who don’t like reliable feedingI have fell for the feel of the KRG Bravo. I put my REM 700 with Krieger barrel into one and found a comfortable groove. Now I thinking of moving my T3X TAC A1 into one. KRG website says the trigger guard may need fitting with the TAC. Anyone know what that fitting may be? Anyone know what the TAC chassis would be worth? Would the Tikka still use the ASIC mag?
Did you sell your TAC chassis? II think the newer Bravos have no issues with the Tac A1 trigger. I bought one a few months ago and it fit without modification. They do use the AICS mags, but they just announced a version that will work with the CTR mags for those who don’t like reliable feeding
I did. I wasn't really a fan of the ergonomics and I despised the CTR mags.Did you sell your TAC chassis? I
Yup. Wish I would have waited now.Did y’all see the release of the KRG bravo that accepts tikka magazines?
I see what you did there. Stirring the pot. ? A 60 second spring bend and they feed 100% and almost too smooth to a fault. Cant tell if you pick up a round.I think the newer Bravos have no issues with the Tac A1 trigger. I bought one a few months ago and it fit without modification. Yep, I tried that and bending the mag catch. Nothing worked for me. I’m glad they work for others, and I love the new setup in the Bravo with AICS mags.I see what you did there. Stirring the pot. ? Some guys call the plumber to unstop there toilet. If you are that guy then bending a spring may be too much to tackle. ?
You already answered your own question and the round is proben in your rifle. Stick with the 70 cent per round american gunner. I use it out to 900 yards with no issues.Took my 6.5cm 24" CTR to the range for the second time yesterday. On the first trip, I put fifty rounds of Hornady American Gunner 140gr HPBT through it and another twenty rounds of Hornady 140gr ELD-M. After the first twenty rounds or so, I was right around 1/2moa for the rest of the day at 100yds and 3/4moa at 200yds.
Yesterday I took three boxes of Hornady 147gr ELD-M to the range and was 1/4moa wider in my 5-round groups than what I got out of the 140's. So, seeing that my gun prefers the 140's over the 147's, I'd be very interested in hearing what "factory" round you guys have found to run best in your 6.5cm CTR's in terms of group and performance out to 800 yards?

Anybody got a stock ctr bolt handle for sale?
I have 2 .
Both in very good condition.
May be a little difficult to get them here by the weekend?
Those sterk handles are super nice though! I just find myself gravitating back towards the ctr handles a lot though. I just like the way they run for me
Yup. Wish I would have waited now.
I literally just ordered a chassis and AICS magazines because I was tired of waiting. It only took me 2 years of pestering them to get them to cave
What he said yep?I installed one yesterday. My trigger pull went from 2 lbs 4 oz to 1 lb 2 oz.
