Graham County in North Carolina is currently prohibiting traffic from entering the county. Cherohala Skyway (SR 165) in Monroe County is now closed at the TN/NC state line. Motorists on US 129 in Blount County can enter North Carolina in Swain County but will be stopped at the Graham County line.

All a test for this plague tells you (and anyone) is that you tested NEGATIVE at the time the test was adminstered. If you then go about your business like nothing has changed, you will come into contact with an infected person and then become infected. This is why the temp scans and testing of asymptomatic people isn't helpful, it only gives a result at the instant the test was given and thus a false sense of security.

I can give you local opinion.
This is all a tourist area. They don't want tourists right now. People are fleeing cities right now, are they not?
We don't want them here right now.
There is a pretty big piece of Nat. Forest in graham....tourists. there is a good portion of indian reservation in Snowbird community in Graham. The Indians have closed shop, I don't blame them.

I'm guessing with some degree of accuracy, that it's not JUST Graham county. They cant shut down I40, that's federal? They can shut a state road, which they have done.

Is this a bad sign and a bad precedence, maybe. If out of towners won't stop coming, wtf do you do?
Did Florida tell the Yankees to go home? Yes. Did everyone lose their fucking minds? No.

9 million a year pour through this area. Spring is a huge influx, again in the fall.

I can never quite figure out why diesel is higher priced than gasoline. I actually owned a diesel VW Beetle about ten years ago, great little car, loved it, super fun to drive. The German over-engineering on the electrical system forced me to return it under the lemon law, etc. But...I was getting nearly 45 mpg with it.

You'd think at this time of national crisis the bit oil companies here in the USA would cut the trucking industry a break and drop prices on diesel.

It's higher because of demand. That's been the case for a long time.

US oil companies aren't in a position to cut any breaks right now.

Demand, and there is less diesel in a barrel of oil than gasoline. Like about 50% less...

Stepson had to have a mass of infection removed, we werent even allowed in the hospital. Had to wait until they brought him out to even drive up to departure to put him in the car to take him home.
