Gunsmithing Tinkering to fit longer bullets???

I'm kinda at a delima to where some of my money loads are longer than my BLD in my 308. So usually ppl would switch to buy a DBM. My thing is that while I shoot a good amount of paper, primarily it's gonna be a hunting rifle. We'll one thing I'm not very fond of is having to put a huge clip on it which can make noise and get caught on stuff growing threw brush just to be able to have longer COAL.

Only real DBM I've gotten to like is the HS Precison just because it's slim and doesn't poke out that much, but can only load to 2.860.

So my main question is there something I can do to my BDL so that I can obtain around 2.9 COAL?

Looks at Wyatts, I believe they have one that will take ya out to 2.995 with some modification to your action.

This. If there is a single shot adapter for your action, get it and carry extra rounds on a wrist shell holder on your support hand. I avoid DBMs like the plage in bolt actions just for this reason.
