Rifle Scopes True magnification of NF NXS 5.5x22x56???

I am thinking its either 11x or 22x. I bought Bryan Litz's Applied Ballistics app because it gives you holdover ranges at different magnifications in a reticle view. Well, one of the inputs I need is "True Magnification". Now I see the advantages of a first focal plane scope.

It's calibrated at 22x.

half power is noted on the ocular housing by a line and a dot.

Ok so 22x is the "True Magnification?". I thought that's what Nightforce customer service said but Litz thought it was 11x and your right, there is a line and dot shown on the magnification ring on the scope. I am not going to be hunting here in NC on 22x so that was my reason for wanting an app that was me "true" holdover ranges at lower powers. I hunt a lot of logging trails where the deer are crossing and don't always give you enough time to range and dial so this will be my best method when seconds matter.

Now that you mention it, I remember that the dot is a 1/2 power reference.
