Been waiting a few months on my USO, first "High" end optic I've ever owned.

Got a call from them today, they have started the build and expect completion by the end of the week.

Ok, flame away, I don't really have much more to say about it other than I'm giddy as hell and I had to tell someone.

Re: USO Excitement

Sure,

SN-3 1.8-10x 37mm
Mil-Scale GAP
ERGO
EREK 1/10 mil
US #3 M40 style with stop - installed on left side set for righty
Digital push button RED
Internal bubble level
2" shade with ARD
USO Med Rings
USO flip caps.

Hope I can stay calm while I wait for the shipping notification...

Re: USO Excitement

I'm in the same boat waiting for mine, should be soon. On the plus side, I get to drive over and pick it up when it's done.

I'm getting almost the same specs. Sold my previous USO to fund this one, just going a little smaller in a few areas and changing some things.

Just got my ARC M3 Gen 2 rings today, very nice rings.

Re: USO Excitement

I once bought a scope that wasn't a USO because I didn't want to wait on the build. MISTAKE.

You will love your new scope when you feel the toughness inherent to it. Don't worry about running it hard - just keep the lens protected...

Re: USO Excitement

My USO gets finished up and should ship next week. Great news if I ignore the fact that I am out of the country until the middle of July...oh well, something to look forward to when I get back.

It sounded more like a warning to me. I am on number 5 right now.

Be careful what you wish for is applicable in this case.

Dooooood!!!

I'm just debating if I should have the internal ACD installed in my PSR prototype or leave it virginal. I love the ones in my other two!

Thats the truth, Bought a st-10 here on the hide, and was hooked. My 3.2-17 came yesterday. thanks to owtlawten5 here who hooked me up with the other. as long as your wife dosent care about the price, lol they are worth it. Fed ex guy pulled up and i threw the baby and kicked the dog to get to the door. Very well build and great glass. The wait is worth it. Have fun with them

Re: USO Excitement

I like mine well enough "1.8-10x37mm Tpal". A few things about it could stand improvement. Bubble level is lack luster. I feel my digital illumination it's a little too bright at it's lowest setting for future NV. Way more brightness than is needed for a sunny day. It sort of sucks to press the button for each and every brightness level, there is so many. I feel it might have been better if it were press and scroll. On mine both the Erek and US#3 knobs have minor flaws, not huge, but still. Mine isn't mounted yet, but it seems a tad bit unforgiving. A little up down right left you don't see shit. All and all, it seems okay. It's my first USO, without ever seeing another USO, so I have nothing to really go on personally with this brand. I can't say if I'd buy another yet till I get some time behind it.

wanna trade for a sn3 3.2-17? </div></div> Nah man. While I would love to have it, the reason I didn't choose it in the first place was the physical size of it for my rifle application. Plus I really liked the C2 reticle for my application.

Re: USO Excitement

I have the SN 3 TPAL with the RDP MOA reticle, EREK knob, ACD built in, push button illumination 5 x 25 x 58 with 4"sunshade w/ARD, brown annodized with 34mm Tube...I love it!!! It fits well on my beef cake of a rifle!

Damn if yours was moa/moa I would trade you one in a heartbeat. Id love another 3.2-17. Hell for that matter I would love another 5-25 TPAL, another SN4, another 3.8-22 and another 1.8-10 but theres this thing called money...and I gave all mine to JBWIII and its alot easier to give away than it is to get (for me anyway).

Hell I even gave him some more for new t shirts yesterday.

+1 on this. I'm saving my $$ for another one as well!

What are you guys running the 1.8-10 on ?

What would you do different?

Never seen a bubble inside a scope before, so I don't have any example to compare. I had 2 of my USO upgraded with the bubble. At first it was bigger than expected. Seems to me if the bubble was too small one might find himself chasing center.

I find it very hard to see. I'd like to see it more in view with less shadow in the day light, I'd like it to be back-lit for night operations. Even in the sunlight I really have a hard time telling where I'm at with it. The only scope I've ever seen with the option was ones Springfield sold years ago. They were not the greatest, but they were better. I figure give it time and USO might perfect it more. Maybe an internal mercury switch or something with an LED to let you know you're level? Skip a bubble altogether.

Re: USO Excitement

My camera of coarse is shit and really don't do the image quallity of the scope justice. However it does capture in the photograph exactlly what you can see of the bubble level while you are looking thru the scope. I find it very hard to see in any power or daylight condition. Impossible at night. This is a view of 10x at 19:00 this evening.

Re: USO Excitement

You guys are killing me with all this uso porn. I just ordered the new catalogue from uso and am waiting for it to come. If you guys see a mushroom cloud in the distance roughly north of you don't be too concerned. It just means that what ever scope I decide on just came in the mail.

Re: USO Excitement

I'm about ready to piss myself with excitement for tomorrows range day. The very first outing with the USO, and the weather here is gorgeous for shooting. I can't wait!!

Re: USO Excitement

So been waiting a while on my SN-3 and got the tracking info that it was heading my way the other day. Got in late last night from overseas and found the box sitting on the porch.

Tired or not just had to get it mounted up with one minor interruption/distraction when my wife announced that she thinks she might be pregnant.

Thank god the USO spotter is already in production and paid for because I suspect that little bit of news the fun money may tighten up for oh maybe the next 20 years or so.
