I'm happy for the political subdivisions of the Commonwealth standing together in defiance of the state. But what happens to those mired in locations that choose to ignore 2A? Can they be helped? And what happens outside of VA, if some tyrannical left-leaning county elsewhere decides to actively fight 2A, despite its state laws?

People didn't get out and vote for those that represent their beliefs. Now they are going to stand by with this bullshit faux sanctuary. All the while knowing that once this is passed it's not going to be removed from the books. The left side will wait for your grandchildren to plant flowers on the graves of the Patriots to enforce it.
Bottom line.......not voting caused this. Not getting involved locally to get someone to represent your ideals caused this.

Not entirely. We had a higher turnout than usual. The problem lies in not having a state electoral college. 3-4 counties/municipalities out voted the rest of the state. The same almost happened with Trump but the E/C saved it ...this time. But yes, a higher turnout would have saved us.
Those 4 counties out voted the 25+ counties (and counting) because they sat on their ass. With every excuse imaginable for early voting there's no excuse.
The population of the 4 counties around DC, and two in Tidewater area is 4x the combined population of the remaining counties in VA ?
Those 4 counties don't have all of the state representative seats.

If every county in orange goes green, and there is not a march on the capital to remove ALL the repugnant laws, YOU VA people damn well better be armed and ready to yank them all out of office by force and remove them due to corruption. Peaceful first, war second. This state is THE opening statement on these types of laws. If teh people do not stand up for what they have already begun and stop shrt becuase oh we sanctuary, you have not finished what you started. It ends when every new law is stricken from the books that is repugnant to 2A and 1A. Remember these laws have made militias terrorist units, training terrorist activity, and assembly a terrorist activity.

The sanctuary county thing is just feel good BS right now mostly. A few sheriff's saying they won't enforce a law isn't anything solid. What happens in a few years once they are gone and the supreme court says its all constitutional? It likely will, because there are already city's with much stronger laws that they are allowing to stand. Once something is passed the local police might look the other way, but is a gun dealer going to look the other way, and sell you stuff that is now banned, I don't think so.
Makes ya wonder why DHS bought a few billion rounds of JHP ammo (which is more expensive than Ball) for "training" doesn't it?

Proud of Virginia sending the message to the top. I can imagine what a lot of the representation (so called representation) in the state thinks of this if they were considering supporting/voting for gun legislation and bans. Pretty hard to out yourself and vote for something shit loads of your constituents and Sheriffs and County Prosecutors have said they will not comply with.

I think the legal battle is where we'll really need folks to petition and show up to have civil protests. These 2A resolutions are pretty much the county saying to the state "we don't want to fuck with this". I think most sheriffs are prepared to enforce the law, though they sympathize politically and personally with The Constitution. That does not mean they will not enforce the law in any rendition it passes, just that they realize it is illogical and constitutionally immoral for it to pass.
This is just the beginning, we will not retreat from this fight. It is just a shame that all of us who voted are now having to carry the weight of the ignorant/complacent gun owners who thought Trump would protect them!

The liberals are counting on conservatives with a mortgage and a family to support to not stand up and fight for their constitutional rights. I don't see gun owners willing to get arrested like pro abortion supporters and climate change ones do.
I'd have to respectfully disagree, as most of us gun owners in Va are pro-life and we don't back down.
In the same way, if we all stand together, well no one will get locked up.

Just got off the phone w/ some good old boys from Culpeper County (where I own land). Culpeper is holding their 2A Sanctuary meeting tomorrow (3 Dec), 1000 hours, again at 1600 and 1900 hours, with vote sometime afterwards. Turnout in favor is expected to be heavy, like all of the other hearings, as biggest turnover ever for a county vote.
I believe they will add another GREEN county to your overall map.
These same good old boys are monitoring Rappahannock for me, and I don't have any update there. That one will be tougher as lots of DC folks (like myself) have moved or have interest in this county. Also, being a smaller county, just a few folks can make a big difference.

The organization of common minded people is a good start and will be needed in the future. Just don't expect the local boards to always do the right thing unless there is vigilance to hold their feet to the fire. Cause if you don't someone else will.

Unfortunately this is a war of attrition and I'm afraid it is already lost. The best outcome that we can hope for is to win some concessions before we capitulate....better to end up Post-WWII Japan then East Germany.
The current crop of mid 20s-and-under are full blown commie/socialists and anti-capitalist and when they have a solid majority there won't be any stopping the descent.
I don't know what it would take to really turn this around but I don't see it happening with the current anti-Conservative movement in the Universities.

Its's currently an 800 mile drive one way for me, but I plan to be in Richmond VA for a few upcoming pro 2A events like lobby day

getting everyone I know back in VA aware of this situation (shocked how many have no idea, just hit up another old friend last night) and getting them motivated to send letters, make calls, and be in the leftists face on this anti constitutional non-sense.
Its all I can think to do at this point
