What is B12 good for?

It's necessary for red blood cell production, and although the mechanisms are completely understood it's also necessary for normal brain function. B12 deficiency causes anemia and dementia. Supplemental B12 is not well absorbed through the G.I. track, if your diet is lacking then either Rx shots or drops under the tongue can help.

revive thread!

Why is vitamin D the exact thing used in Dcon rat poison?

Rats have red warm blood and are mammals that are used for studies, so if it kills rats, im supposed to eat rat poison?

And if I take a multi vitamin, in about half hour my guts sent it right back up. So I don’t take multi vitamins either.
People are not rodents. If you think you are, don't take Vitamin D. You'll be ok, unlike the millions of people whom are poisoning themselves by taking lethal rodent doses every day.

I have been on D since 2020 but for my immune system. A couple gel caps a day, nothing outrageous.

Only recently have I realized the profound effect it has had on my mood and energy during the winter months.

Yup.

The wife & I also take lethal rodent doses daily. Just like millions of other folks.

Not being rodents, we're fine. Like yourself.

The jackass I was responding to simply doesn't understand why & how it's used as a rodenticide, so figures it MUST be bad for humans too...
