Virginia Gun Control Updates

Do you want to know what they think of us?!
This pathological manipulator won by about 1,400 votes, people can not afford to be lazy anymore!

I am sure in his feel good circle, he feels that he is superior to all of us so called "2A Bully types"

Well I have news for him, we Will Not drop this issue, NEVER!

We will continue to fight and when he loses his pathetic excuse for a job, he can remember how wrong he was!

Remember this idiot if you need motivation!

I don't think he cares. He cant get "voted out". Isn't he already "serving" a 2nd term & in VA he can only serve 2 terms?
Not sure about terms for Va house delegates? They have 2 year terms...
Governor can only serve one term.

Believe me when someone acts like he does, I'm telling you that Dems are worried, however listening... well they don't seem to be good at that.

What they fail to realize is that they are setting themselves up for a massive defeat soon.

His speech sounds reminiscent of an old has been football coach on the losing end at halftime.

No term limits on the House or Senate. Gov can only run once. House gets elected as a whole every 2 years, the last election being in November 2019, so the next chance we have to vote out these bums is 2021, sadly. Senate is elected as a whole every 4 years, the last one occurring in November 2019, so we vote these bums out in 2023.

Now this dude is from a district that has a bunch of 2A Sanctuaries in it. Those voters absolutely need to kick this idiot out.

Oh most definitely, from what I have heard people he is used to seeing are not happy with him.
Makes you think twice about your pro 2A mechanic working on your brakes, lol

But 2020-2021 is vital, we can get at minimum a Pro 2A Governor and even the house out then and the Senate in 2023!

We have options

That guy is a complete POS. I don't know all of the details, but after his girlfriend was killed, he magically was the frontrunner and got elected to the state house.
Fucker needs to go.

So you have at a minimum until Nov 2021 to make any changes by election, and that will be the House and Governor. What is the temperature right now for getting the two (?) Dem votes you need in the Senate to kill these bills? When do they move out of committees and go to the vote in House and Senate?

We need 2 votes in Senate
One will only tie which leaves Attorney General mark herring to break tie. If we get 2 votes we win

but don't forget Nov 2020. VA needs to get out and vote in the Federal elections for those that will protect our liberties and our Constitutions. The actions over the last month make it clear which politicians are NOT protecting our liberties and our Constitutions.

RE VA Senate: the worst of the bills - possession, training, ammo, ranges - appear NOT to have the full support and are therefore not being voted on (right now... if House has strong showing and/or they change a word or two, this could quickly change). However, the terrible, Gestapo-inspired Red Flag bill did get passed in the Senate, along party lines. And additional 'moderate' bills also have all 21 Dems supporting.

Some individuals did water the tree b4 the junk got dumped in the harbor, and several watered the tree b4 the hootenanny at the bridge.

Historically in perspective, we are not at the harbor.

Should you, me, or any of our like minded brothers get arrested or dead by these current unconstitutional laws, it would be in line with pre-harbor history.
It took the sacrifice of several b4 the fire was lit.
Others have pointed this out in the past month in the VA topics.

The redcoats havent pushed enough people to establish an armed resistance to go to the bridge yet.

Ruby Ridge, Waco, Katrina, combined werent enough. IF the redcoats had molested the 6k in the fence, that PROBABLY would have been enough to start the hootenanny at the next bridge. But, in the historical context, the 6k in the fence were pre-harbor warning as done then.

It would more than likely take 50 or a hundred localized arrests of people like you, with injury or death to them AND family to 'woke' enough people to go to the bridge... that much watering would have to happen b4 people would be willing to lose all they possess to get at it.

The redcoats know this. That's why they are playing the extremely long game, AND the current rf arrests and deaths are being MSM covered as "disturbed mentally ill criminal people" and the majority of people out there uninvolved see it that way, and no organized group gets organized.... to ramp up like Ferguson BLM and french leftists.

At this point, no leaders have stepped up and said, "to the bridge!"
Some leadership IS emerging as seen in what VCDL did accomplish. And historically, all this is "pre-harbor".

Historical perspective post ends now.

Why can't there be a recall as was done in Colorado ?

Why can't there be a recall as was done in Colorado ?
Eric Pratt with GOA, has stated that a recall wasn't possible for some reason that escapes my mind right now...

There may be other possibilities though?
Hopefully we can get him for something if we keep the pressure up.

Don't give up though, the crazier they get the better opportunity we have to take the next election big time.

The VA recall process requires a rather arduous signature process only allowing registered voters to sign and requiring signatures equal to 10% of the total number of votes in the last election (equally roughly 300k).

Then it gets taken out of the people’s hands and the circuit court of VA has a trial to decide on removal with the ability to appeal to the Supreme Court of VA. So basically it is not feasible.

As hard as the above process is, you have 9 months to collect the signatures.

The dems are proposing new legislation that would raise the number required to 25% (roughly 750k based on last gubernatorial election) and only give you 60 days to acquire them. Rendering recall for all intents and purposes impossible.

That shows very clearly just how much they watch us, we must learn how not to telegraph every punch...

Why can't there be a recall as was done in Colorado ?

Our governor is publicly guilty of the following:

- advocating murder of our most defenseless (newly born babies).
- espousing white supremacist / racist views and acting on them, and then lying about his beliefs and actions, and then accusing other innocent Virginia citizens of harboring those exact same views.
- proposing and acting on broad violations of the 2nd Amendment of the US Constitution and the 1st Article of the Virginia Constitution.

You would think any one of these points would more than satisfied the standard for removal as our most senior elected executive position. Virginia politicians clearly are acting politicians by not more aggressively pursuing his removal.

The left is starting to pay better...

So it only makes sense that the NRAs power is diminishing.

NRA rely on lobby and influencing by payouts and donations...palm greasing.

But I for one am not ready to give up on them just yet (*puts on flame retardant PJs while typing*)...

There is still lots of good work the NRA can do. They still have wide reach and a established community....Just need to get back to a more grass roots oriented model.

Get involved...

Not with only money. Attend meetings, work to further rights in your local community and tell the person calling you on behlaf of the NRA how you really feel...
Im with you...I dont believe we should give up on the NRA yet, they are too powerful for our cause because of the decades they have established themselves as the main national fighting power for the 2nd amendment and other rights. HOWEVER, we ALL must put pressure on them in any way we can...we all should be calling them ...millions of calls of urgent complaints and threats to leave the membership should have a impact one would think.

VA will probably be lost for good once/if the voting laws are changed...

The voting law changes they want to make show clearly that their hypocrisy knows no bounds.

They have legislation that would grant VAs electoral college votes to the winner of the national popular vote regardless of the majority popular vote in the state effectively circumventing the electoral college.

Then proposed legislation that would elect the VA governor based upon a majority of the districts (a la mini electoral college) regardless of the majority state popular vote.

?????

THAT'S what shows it? Thats where you draw the line?!

Certainly not where I draw the line nor do I believe this is the only evidence of their hypocrisy rather that it is yet one more example of it. I also believe it is important to make known what they are doing on issues other than firearms.

The reality is neither my nor your (unless you are 100+ yrs old) generation allowed them to jump across the first line in the sand without consequence and generations since have allowed this to continue.

Who will stand up to stop it?

Anyone here from Wisconsin....If we ever lose our governorship and legislators to the Libs at the same time...we will be in the same boat.
Get out and vote and tell your friends (mid terms just as important, thats usually when dems sneak these wins cause Republicans sit the mid terms out)

Virginia isn’t gone. This is Virginia, not California. We know our origins and while they think they are indestructible right now, they will soon realize they are not. We’ve had piece of shot legislators do stupid shit before and we’ve corrected those issues at the first opportunity. This is no different.

The shot across the bow will be throwing Senator Warner and Congresswoman Spanberger out of office in 2020 and watching VA go for Trump. When that happens, step one of correcting the problem will be complete. That happens and you won’t see shit happening in 2021 for more gun laws. Then we’ll toss them out in 2021.

Then VAs electorial votes being given to the overall popular vote winner.

That shit needs to stop to. This whole usurping the entire point of the electoral college has got to stop as its entirely the reason it was put there in the first place, so the majority wouldn’t run over the minority! If this usurping BS continues then a handful of large metropolitan areas will control the outlook for the entire country. This is NOT the way this was intended to work. Maybe then people will um do this something I keep hearing about. If not, the country is gone. It will become a shithole quick!

We had one gun a month years ago. As soon as we got a Republican Governor back, they wiped it out. Virginia has some history of erasing bad gun laws so it's not like other states that roll over and give up once bad things are passed. This all sucks but it's all fixable.

Worse thing that could happen is the Republicans put up an idiot against Fairfax when he runs for Governor. Put a strong candidate up against him, and support the hell out of him/her with every fiber of your being.

We've had Governors from both parties many times so this isn't a "Virginia turned blue" thing, it's a "We lost an election but we'll win the next one" thing.

Eye on the ball.

I agree, we are at worst a purple state, with mixed views.
Yet, more of our state is Red than the tiny blue parts.

Guys go to 3:21 in the video below, relates to Virginia.

So let me get this straight. MAYBE being allowed to keep a piece of plastic/steel/aluminum is considered a win while your other civil rights are being taken away by those who also change the voting laws so that they will stay in absolute power forever?

All the overlords MAY allow you is to fondle your toys in your basement while you can't call these sell-out traitors what they are in public or on the internet. While they make it 'legal' to search your house without due process. And push the country closer to the holy grail of mob rule, the NVPIC. (Please study this carefully and realize that our goose is already cooked with the places where this legislation is 'pending')

I think you need to get your priorities straight, VA patriots.
