Vudoo closed the doors…

No one will remember.
I remember getting burnt by Remington very well and haven’t bought anything since.

Also let’s be fair we’re talking in terms of where Vudoo is currently. As in likely QC diminishing and parts becoming harder to come by

I would 100% fully support the company should, just an example, one of the top aftermarket companies like DI/DPG/MC etc bought it and restored it.

But in its current state based on the last 24 hours. No I wouldn’t pay normal pricing to support a person or investment company who did this. Nor would I pay top dollar for a name and quality that likely no longer exists should I need warranty or parts in the future

Some people I’m sure see it differently but when I and many others got lemons from Remington we didn’t run out and overpay for a R700 made pre shit show. I simply moved in to other reputable companies (that’s when I bought my first of many savage rifles cough cough 😁)

Before Vudoo was Vudoo didn't they used to be a CF rifle builder that also closed up shop?

If so that would make this the 2nd business they have failed at. IMO the Vudoo actions have always felt like shit...
Sort of. Im sure if you dig through the hide you will find the details. However it wasn't the owners of Vudoo.

This also makes a facebook post a while back make sense. Someone with a Gen 2 action was requesting a new firing pin and was basically told good luck and was told to find one on a shelf at a dealer, which was not typical Vudoo Gunworks service. Im hoping someone comes along to pick it up for service of all the Vudoos out there. I certainly love mine, but lack of parts sucks. Maybe DI is a source since they have built so many good shooters on V22 actions.

this is the new ceo who they spew all over https://www.linkedin.com/in/jacob-herman-403b46249/

a quick search shows him in a dallas safari club interview on rigby rifles - you be the judge ...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ivPwjcJBbbs
Interesting video which would depict he’s a stand up guy interested in establishing relationships with customers and business partners. Which would literally go against the latest reports of lacking customer service, employee reports and lack of communication to current customers about the move which we’ve seen here so far

Maybe we can expect Vudoo to retire the .22 market and make Mauser based rifles instead in OK

It did / does , but some ingenious guys removed the savage magazine guide , installed Remington aic bottom metal ( these actions have 700 footprint ) then they took plastic Aic mags and glued in the savage magazines , it really needs a straight magazine found to function and fitted in the plastic aic mag or new aic style mag printed for it

New CEO date was last summer (2024), but that's public PR magic fairytales land.
In the real world, this was surely working on a different timeline. or at least that would be my guess.
Frank wants ideas for podcast and what not maybe a 20 minute conversation with Jacob explaining the future and current situation would be cool. It would certainly be worth it if they plan to maintain a decent customer base

I ordered a custom Vudoo in February and was told it would be about 2 months. A bit over $4,000. Now, no gun, no money, no one will answer a phone, email goes unanswered as well.

I really don't understand how anyone with a conscience could treat me or anyone else this way. Even a call or email saying, see you in bankruptcy court would at least give me something.

Appreciate the Press release to help establish the timeline. like you said, it likely had been going on for a bit before it was announced. I would be great to Hear from Frank but I suspect there are several NDA's in place that would prohibit that from happening.

Bud, I feel for you, but understand it was not intentional by anybody who worked there. Things are happening in the background to hopefully resolve the problems, hang in there.

I know that it isn't you doing it, and your company has a stellar reputation, but failure to contact your paid customers IS intentional on Vudoo's part. It costs nothing for them to reach out and treat customers with respect. Especially those that have dropped thousands. I run a Vudoo 360 and have for years, not sure that I would buy another unless it is picked up by a reputable owner.

Gotta love all the secrecy behind this…. TOP SECRET stuff must be going on where they build custom 22 rifles….. Best disinfectant is sunlight.
If there were a potential business deal in the works, what would be gained by spilling the beans to a bunch of negative Nellie’s on SH? What if it doesn’t happen? What if it does, but there’s a lot of shit to be cleaned up before anything happens?

Get real.

As to Voodoo current ownership and their dealings, time will tell. But it’s not looking good. Hold your breath…

This just doesn’t pass the smell test. Any company that is planning to move several states away would usually inform their resellers, current customers and potential customers. They would post about it well in advance and make sure people aren’t just left wondering what’s going on

For them to not even post on their website, FB page, or IG and just a random comment in a FB group doesn’t inspire confidence.

Think about the logistics. How long will it take to find a new location, get their licensing, move or buy new equipment, hire and train staff, etc. That’s a very long lead time… think of all the people who are out their money during that time without any information.

Even if it’s all legit, it’s still a bad way to treat customers and take their money and extend their delivery times without any notification.

I love my Vudoo and I hope it works out for everyone. I am excited to see what L3i delivers. Hopefully soon

Pretty sure if I was buying vudoo I’d want to get ahead of this crap. Or if I was vudoo I’d want to save face and say sorry we are done but there’s a potential deal.

Get real

Judas freakin priest!

They have $4k of your money, they owe you a detailed explanation, TODAY!

No one should be making excuses for you to accept anything less.

I swear, the Stockholm syndrome in this industry needs to be studied and weaponized.

Just makes my blood boil. Unfreakin believable. I would never treat my customers with such apathetic contempt.

In business, there is a golden rule. When there is trouble, you OVER-COMMUNICATE.

There, I said it.

From what I've seen most of the spare parts and magazines were snapped up as soon as this thread started. Vudoos are specialty rifles.
I got my spare items when I purchased the rifles knowing I will need them down the road regardless.
I picked one up from a buddy, he needed cash and I had the ability to help out. I only have myself to blame for not grabbing a few mags.
