Yeah, 455 - my wife runs one in a MPA chassis. The bolt took some work before it ran like butter but she loves that rifle.
Looking for input on a Vudoo 360, specifically barrel type and length for an MDT ACC Elite Chassis
I'd like to get into NRL22.
I enjoy shooting 22 a lot and practicing with the wind as I have access to a 650 yard range.
Not bench rest. I want to use it.
That chassis has a 19" forend so I would go with a 22-24" barrel and MTU at the minimum. Contour would depend on what you are happy swinging around and moving through a stage with.
Looks like Kukri and MTU only come in 22". I could get the 1.20 bartlein in a 24" but I'm hung up on that looking kind of weird
I just watched a video from eagle eye shooting and he had one with a 24" barrel and said it balanced perfect so I'll lean that way.Do a search. I am sure there are a ton of those chassis with 1.2" or 1,25" barrels in it so you can see what it looks like but looks don't equal performance.
Here's a poor photo of my RimX with 22-inch Shilen (Heavy Varmint contour) in one of my MDT ACC chassis. In my mind, a 22" barrel looks funny in an ACC (too short). Note that the barrel has a KSS tuner on it; its adjustment sleeve extends back from the muzzle so, in a centerfire application, a brake can be screwed on in front of the tuner. In this case, you can see a thread protector screwed onto the muzzle.
I'd go with 24" or even 26" for an ACC. Balance will also be improved with 24".

This is a 360 with 25” 1.25 straight taper and EC tuner. MDT ACC Elite balances very well as is. For a narrow barricade I need just a little weight out back. On a 2x4 it balances at magwell without bipod and about an inch in front with bipod.

I’m having a 360 built by Jonathan with a 25” barrel, BnA, and EC tuner. The action shipped today. Estimated 12 weeks. Hope it’s better than my Lilja 457 which shoots great. This will probably be my last one.
Had a similar question(s) as @USMC22 but for the MPA Matrix Pro chassis. I'm also considering the MDT ACC (Elite or Premier). I want to build a Vudoo 360 for NRL/PRS matches and also use it as a trainer for an ELR/PRS 6.5CM Centerfire build I want to do down the line. Most likely that will be a 22-24 inch M24 profile barrel with a Curtis Valor Action in the same chassis I use for the Vudoo.

I have a 26" 1.2 straight - in the Matrix Pro, I had to run internal weights and the steel spigot.
I totally did not expect it to need that much weight to balance out. So I'd probably need a 24 inch 1.2 straight at the least to balance out the Matrix plus internal and side weights and keep the bipod on at all times, Yikes. Is the Matrix Pro that rear heavy?
Yeah that is a lot of weight. Didn't realize those chassis were that rear heavy but must be as they do leave a good amount of aluminum back there.
I've been contemplating moving my ZCO from my 6GT to my Vudoo since I don't shoot CF anymore. Or haven't in months. I just have my Vudoo/NX8 so dialed in, I'm reluctant. I'm shooting a .22 match tomorrow. Maybe I'll pull the ZCO off and zero it on the Vudoo after the match.
Rough calculation if it's a 527 you will be on 14X withe the same 13.2 ft FOv you had with the NX8 at 8X.
For reference, 26" straight taper in an ACC Elite. Still put all the internals in to get it to balance. The elite is pretty heavy in the rear, but the razor gen 3 isn't doing me any favors in the balance department either. 23 lbs and could still use a touch more weight out front.
Yep. My 23" MTU required both sets of grayops weights, and still kind of wanted a bipod at the end to get it to sit freely. Now if you go a lighter scope / rings that could help too.
Is the black gen 3 the exact same scope as the brown one or did they make other changes for euro opti?
That's the way to go. My Manners TCS with a 23" 1.2" straight and no extra weights balances nice and is sub 20 pounds also.
Which Grey Ops weights are you using? The smaller inserts or XL ones?
Are you running the internal weights also?

The parallax for the leupold alright? I am looking at a set up very similar to this. Shoot any close targets inside of 50yds?
I’ve shot a couple of matches with it. The targets are fuzzy but i could still make them out.
This scope came off my Vudoo Gen 2. I have a Zeiss S3 on it now. This is the scope I had when my Vudoo Three60 came in. I plan to use the Three60 at matches we have here. So inside of 50 yards won’t matter.
I know at some matches now under 50 doesn’t come into play but was asking the guy who I quoted who was contemplating one but seems to need under 50 yards.

It is my brass sticking to bolt face and not ejecting then once I try to close.. Jam!
My main ammo is CenterX and I get a jam maybe every 100 rounds but recently I decided to practice with some SK Match Plus and now it’s one or two out of 10 rounds. My first thought was case head thickness?
Anyone had same issues any thoughts before I call Vudoo and bother them.

I know this might be an annoying question, but how often do you clean the chamber and have you inspected for a carbon ring recently?
And are you babying the bolt when pulling to the rear? Try and rack the bolt like a centerfire and see if it helps. If not just give Vudoo a call. It's no bother as they are there to help.
I probably clean too much about every 300-400 rounds and my bore scope never shows much carbon on that cleaning regiment.

I have a mark 5 on my hunting set up and like continuity of reticles. Haven’t checked out arken but for 22lr I hear their pretty good, do they have any similar to the PR2 reticle?
Took another step forward in my Vudoo 360 Build. Just picked up an MPA Matrix Pro second hand for a good deal. Just need to finalize the decision on the barrel. Still flip flopping between getting a 22 inch kukri (because I like the look) and dealing with the challenge of balancing it or going with a 22-24 inch straight 1.2 for balance.

I just bought a 22" mtu and put it in a matrix pro. It shoots great but to get the balance I wanted required a lot of weight toward the front. I believe it weighs in right now at 20.6lbs with scope. I think if I had the chance to do it over I'd really consider the 1.20 barrel. I believe that would have helped the balance.
That's great feedback. I was also thinking if I got the 1.2 barrel I could always trade someone for a MTU or Kukri if I really didn't like it. They seem in demand enough. If I did go that route I'd still have to decide on 22 or 24 inches. I've seen a few photos of well balanced Vudoo Matrix Pros with 24 inch 1.2 barrels that balance really well at weight in at around 18lbs. Haven't seen anyone pick the 22 inch 1.2 barrel though.
