I ordered it from you guys on 11-12-19. I believe it is a newer model because I needed the new updated bag rider for the rear

I have a Grayboe stock and I put my barreled action in it and had the same exact problem. I have zero issues picking up the next round. The issue is getting the bolt to close far enough to cam closed. The shape of the bullet makes the bullet engage the rifling before SK/ Lapua does. It takes quite a bit of force to slam the bolt home. If I get a run at it so to speak and slam the bolt home hard it forces the bullet into the rifling. It I try to close the bolt with anything less that a lot of force the bolt stops just shy of being able to cam over. I have to back the bolt up and slam it home to get the round to chamber. My son tried to run a magazine of Eley Edge through the rifle and he couldn’t get a single round to chamber. It is bad enough that I would never consider using Eley ammo in a match. Right now I am just testing the various SK ammo to find out where the sweet spot for cost vs performance is. I will have to leave the Eley ammo I have for my custom Tikka. The jury is still out on which rifle shoots better. I would say right now it is about a tie as far as precision goes. My Tikka shoots the cheap Eley Force and Contact amazing. Right now it looks like the Eley ammo is not an option with my Vudoo.

I'm 2/3rds of the way to owning one myself! I just have to save up a little longer, but the suspense is killing me.
I can't shoot, but if I want to test cycling ammo, since it's rifling the bullet, extracting them and re-using them later probably isn't going to be good for precision right? I would love to test feeding, but I don't want to waste a bunch of ammo when I go and shoot for groups in a month when the ranges open.
I just got my voodoo a couple of weeks ago. Due to work, I have only been able to shoot it once. I tried some CCI SV that I had on hand, while I wait for the SK and Lapua to be delivered. It shot pretty well, although I didn't measure any groups. I did have the issue that's been described where my bolt required more forward pressure to close. As I was reading through the explanation in the above posts, a question occurred to me. Does shooting an ammo that exhibits this behavior cause any kind of buildup of lead that would interfere with chambering a round that would not normally pose this problem?
I don’t think it will cause any issues. It engages the rifling but doesn’t appear to be removing and lead or wax. All the ammo with the exception of Eley Force shot really well. When I shot Force the groups opened up to close to 1” at 50 yards. Everything else I put in it was better than 1/2 with most being closer to 1/4”. My rifle is a shooter no question I just need to adjust my ammo to suit it.

If I have to stick with SK/Lapua ammo in my Vudoo I’m fine with that. SK standard plus shoots fantastic and is inexpensive enough to use for practice. As well as it performs with that ammo I have no complaints.

Just FYI, I don't know if you've followed this thread but Vudoos are chambered by Mike's proprietary ravage chamber meant to perfectly meet the specs for Lapua/SK ammo, specifically Center-X. This is why you basically are guaranteed that any Lapua/SK ammo will shoot fantastically out of the Vudoo. This is what the shooters asked for, to not have to go mess around with 20 different ammo brands that you generally have to do when buying another factory branded 22LR...
So when you buy a Vudoo, you pay the premium that it's tuned and specifically chambered for a certain ammo to save you time on trying to match ammo. I wouldn't bother tinkering with geco, rws, cci, fgmm etc... just buy some SK Standard Plus for $5.50 for good practice ammo, or up it to Rifle Match for $7.50, or Lapua Center-X for $11.

That's odd. No issue on my rifle or my friend's feeding or chambering any of the Eley. Only one I did have a slight issue was the Eley CMP and that has a round nose bullet. That was more due to it being bulk ammo and not good quality.
I only use Center X of the Lapua offerings in matches. The SKs are ok out to 100 but I don't trust them past that with the SDs and accuracy.
It is odd. I have shot older Vudoo’s with Eley ammo and it seemed to chamber fine. Maybe after I break mine in it will not be an issue. I don’t even have 300 rounds through it yet so it isn’t even close to being broken in yet.
My backyard goes out to 33 yards, and I have a Sparrow 22, but pretty sure there's no legal way to shoot a gun on my property in this county.

I was dry firing the V-22 with a two-stage Huber. While it was clean and crisp, I think the 2nd stage breaks at about 3lbs and the wall seems a bit hard to overcome. Soooooooo, I ordered a Bix'n Andy TacSport Pro with the high sear and flat shoe, and asked they adjust it to 1lb.

You can have Huber set it to 1lb for you. Mine is set at 1.6lbs. But the TacSport Pro is also fantastic.
You have to be fair, each rifle likes something different, I have 2 Vudoos and they both do not like the same ammo, not even close. My MDT only wants Center X of the lot that was found by Lapua and my Ridgeback is less picky and likes SK Pistol Special Match and a different Center X
Out of curiosity do you know what kind of velocity you are getting out of the SK pistol Match special? I have had really good luck with that ammo in the past and think it may have a little higher velocity for longer range shooting.
Finally had some calm weather Saturday here in Ohio in between the storms. Temps were in the low 60’s . No wind at all.
I was shooting Wolf match 40 grain ammunition I’ve had , my Vudoo likes it more than my lit of Center X.I had some dope in my Ballistic solver and I dialed 24.7 mil for the target, 450 yards.
A 66% IPSC ( 12” wide by 18” tall including head).
Shooting out my kitchen window, no rear support I went 3 / 3 !
I was feeling lucky so I stopped there, plus the wife wasn’t very impressed...
I can honestly say I’m impressed with my Vudoo!!!!!

Anyone ever mucked with rimfire tuners for the Vudoo?
Kukri-spec is .870, and their stainless finish, and diameter and threading seems like it would fit perfectly with the Kukri barrel + some tinkering with tuning.

The Vudoo already shoots so well I can’t see you gaining any meaningful precision by adding a tuner. The only thing holding the Vudoo back is ammo inconsistency. The rifle will simply shoot to the level of the ammunition you put in it.

What’s the chance of you guys producing a scope rail for the Voodoo that is extended and height matched for use with the AX chassis with a top rail? Maybe I’m the only one that would want this, I don’t know, as I’ve not seen any other comments related to this. But, I put my V22 together to replicate my duty rifle, as closely as possible, and I would like to retain the aesthetics and functionality of the continuous top rail.
I’m using the full length forend rail, but to clear the rail, with enough room for scope caps, I’ll have to use a super high scope mount, and I don’t like the gap that’s left between the scope mount and the forend tube / top rail.
That being said, I love my Voodoo. I think it’s the best firearm purchase I’ve made besides my AI.

Same here, they are amazing! Im curious as to what did you have for issues with the standard sear? I'm fairly certain that mine has the standard and havent had any issues with it.
Setting to a lower pull weight. They have a chart and how to measure. If you measure you'll see you should be using the high sear.
Here’s my thoughts on FGMM 922a for use with a vudoo as sort of a response to some questions and posts recently. I think it’s great cheap or cheaper ammo . It also shot great out of my cz and 10/22. Here’s just a couple examples of what it can do paired with a vudoo at 50 and 100 yards with pretty decent wind for 22 15-25 l-r.
The federal ammo I have all chambers fine. I have some of the GMM and some of the Auto match. Bothe run through the rifle without a problem.
Call and talk to Don...There is a very specific method of determining your sear....they show you how to measure your action and have a very detailed chart that tells you what sear you need based off your measurement...Don even said they didn't have data in a Vudoo so my measurement would be one of the first....
And to that guys credit, the sear that comes with them (medium) worked as it arrived...but the trigger pull was too heavy...you really saw why you need a high sear when trying to adjust the trigger down in the low range...they set mine at 8oz on the second stage.. wasn't possible with the medium sear
Ok thanks for the info. I ordered mine and shipped it to vudoo along with my stock for them to put together to make sure everything was good, so I had nothing to measure which is why I asked BC. When it arrived it was around a pound total weight. It worked fine and passed drop tests but I actually upped it to 1.5lbs total where I like to be but understand if your going on the light end why it wouldnt work. I'll call and talk to Don and see about getting a high sear for it in case I want to make full use of lighter end in the future.
Meaningful is a subjective term. By using a tuner in conjunction with his mechanical rest @Tiger_Shilone reduced the ten shot group size for an An 1710 D HB from 0.4" at fifty yards to 0.08". Is that meaninful?
I would say the tuner was meaningful to Tiger_Shilone. I might buy a Harrell tuner to fit my IBI barrels. I'd at least have two opportunities for it to work.
I would be curious to see how much of an improvement he would see with just the tuner and not the addition of a mechanical rest. If it’s the kind of mechanical rest I am familiar with you are taking most of the human error out. I would also be interested to see how the Vudoo shot with just a mechanical rest and no tuner. My guess is the difference would be to small to see if you were just shooting with a bipod and rear bag. From what I have seen Vudoo rifles are capable of shooting to the limit of any shooter and the ammo you feed it. Now you may be able to use a tuner to tune to as particular ammo. I don’t know. I have never see a use for them in positional shooting so haven’t experimented with them.
