Suppressors Wait time for online trust or lawyer trust

Hey guys, I am looking to set up a trust here pretty quick. My question is this, if I were to set up a trust this very moment how long does it take to be "active"? Can I go buy a suppressor or an SBR tomorrow morning? Same thing with a lawyer, if we sign papers now how long till I can use it? Any advice as to one being better then the other?

I bought Will and Trust Maker on amazon, filled it out, printed it and bought my can the next day. From my understanding, once u have everything signed it's official.

Yes, once it meets the state requirements, you are good to go.

That's great. I'm waiting for a suppressor to show up at my local shop and want to get the trust done in time to put the suppressor in there and avoid another transfer.

How are you avoiding a transfer?

If I get the trust set up now, I put suppressor in trust. If I don't do the trust now I put suppressor in my name, then transfer it to the trust when that's done.

Well, if you CAN form 4 it as an individual (meaning, CLEO sign off, prints, etc.) then the only reason to form a Trust (and the best reason, I believe) is for the advantages the trust provides (multiple trustees, estate planning, etc.) As mentioned, if that's the reason you want a Trust have an NFA knowledgeable attorney draw one up.

Yes that's why I want one. I'm pretty sure the CLEO would sign(he did for my SBR) but I want something set up for when I die someday.

The problem is now, if you want to put the SBR into the trust, it will cost you another tax stamp.

It's a whole different stamp!? Bummer. Oh well. I just want to get the trust rolling so I can put the suppressor in it right away.
