Picked this up recently, figured I would share it with those who are interested in a mount of this type.

Very nicely machined and fit is very nice, especially considering its price point. Competition at this quality is noticeably more expensive. It appears to be an excellent value-

The finish looks as if it was integral to a slick AR upper

No marks, very clean surface

Deep threads. 45 offsets are both detachable. Rear base is permanent.

No... It does not leave marks
Look forward to see how it holds up, which I've heard is very well

I've been looking, I have a $100 Warne gift certificate I picked up off a prize table. I've been hoping they would come out with a QD version, but your observation that BUIS wouldn't fit may explain why they haven't- although I can fix that easily enough with a band saw.

I may just opt for a set of rings instead. Sucks, I need AR mounts.

It is a bit odd... With the length of the back rail I would have like to have seen an additional cross bolt or increased surface area where the clamp could extend. I'm not sure if the back area helps reinforce any additional distribution of the weight bearing on the front end in its current configuration. It is a little disappointing that there is no option to remove it. I was aware of this when I bought it and decided I would give it a try anyway.

I believe Warne does sell matching 45 degree offset front mounts to configure irons "Dueck" style. Might be a bit a bit obstructed if using larger turrets (unless mounting on the left). Also, base is rated for 65 in lbs so I'm expecting a good hold and return to zero.

Warne rings look great as well, especially their tactical line. My initial plan was to buy a cantilever riser and to use a lower set of their rings instead for easier transition between rifles. In the end, after some thought and discussion I decided that I wanted to stay more in control torquing myself (opposed to qd) and to use as few pieces put together as possible (more one piece, less touching and moving things around).

Some additional information:

-Available in 1" and 30mm

-Colors: Black, Dark Earth, Red, Blue, "Zombie" Green

-1 Piece CNC machined aluminum

-Rings are reinforced with steel sleeves for torx screws

-Base clamping system is steel including the 1/2"hex nuts (65 in lbs)

-1 3/4" Forward offset

-A645~45 is front offset mount that matches RAMP mount (Warne model)

This is an excerpt from an email I got from Warne yesterday:

Not sure what I'll use this certificate for at this point, I need the extra eye relief. It's funny that Warne, who is known for their QD rings, isn't offering a QD mount. Even the Burris PEPR mount is QD now. I know everyone doesn't need QD, but it's a common requirement for this type of mount and is Warnes forte. I may just pick up some standard rings, I'll always need them someday.

That was one of my plans as well, the money i saved this time skipping bought me a new torque wrench so i'm not too bitter.You could always try using a scout rail (I was looking at G&G, they have 2 types, 1 where you can still use buis) and grab a nice set of their tactical rings.

I agree it's strange they haven't offered QD (or at the least consideried developing them) seeing that they wil go to "zombie green" to please some customers. I know there's no intent but maybe someday they will develop one.



Tenaja: the mount is level, there is no incline. I don't believe they offer any of the RAMP mounts with an incline

I'm going to wait until the 2013 product catalog comes out, I still may end up getting a RAMP mount for the 3 gun rifle.

Burris' QD PEPR Mount

Comes with smooth rings as well as the pic tops...
I will post a shot next to Warne's RAMP mount shortly with some additional comments

Mount provides 2" forward off rail

6 hole ring caps similar to their XTR rings
Screw threads are more shallow than I anticipated

The fit does not appear to be as nice as Warne's

I have yet to form an opinion on the return capabilities of the QD levers. They are smooth but not as robust as their competition. At just over $80 I wasn't expecting them to be.

Overall, it appears decently made for a budget mount. My initial impressions are that is not in the same league as the Warne. I'm curious to see how it holds up-
