Seemed like a reasonably honorable man as politicians go, but can’t say he’ll be missed on my end.

He's been in hospice for over a year, which by definition is supposed to only be about six months (sometimes patient surprise us). Even outlived Roslyn. He had metastatic melanoma to the brain for decades, was obviously one of the first individuals to get that treatment.

When I think of Jimmy Carter, I think about him giving away the Panama Canal, being one of the first president to publicly admit he saw UFO but not able to get information about UFOs/UAPS, Camp David Accord, founded the disastrous socialist Department of Education (and Department of Energy?), mishandled the Iran embassy hostage crisis in Iran, and despite having a degree in physics never struck me as the sharpest tool in the shed. He did have Christian values, promoted Habitat for Humanity, but should not have been near the White House.

thought hospice was only a mo or 2,but...he screwed up everything he did. giving the canal,essentially to china,will likely yet bite us in the ass. i blame him for much of our current problems in the ME. not all of them Balfour,cia installing the shaw,brits drawing the lines post ww1 and more as well. but the embassy takeover was really an overt act of war. should have been responded to as such. 1 of maybe 3 incidents in the 20th cent we should have used overwhelming,violent military power. ww1,ww2,VN are not on that list. would have had to be nice to the russians in a hot line talk with Brezhnev and warn them what was gonna happen had nothing to do with them. maybe buy 'em off with some land or such. they would have understood as they deal with shit the same way. jerking the russ off over Afghanistan was a stupid putz move that we managed to repeat later with same result. he was horrible in WH but has a lot of company.
