That is normally how it goes. It's good to find out early what a person is made of. Many think they are all that, until it's time to be all that by default. It's funny because when we were kids, if you were really good, you got to take your tent and go sleep by yourself somewhere on the property, not in your bed. But then we camped every year as in hike all day with a huge pack and spend the week camping out with what you carried.
Oh and hauling water was important too as often times water was a good hour hike away.

Instead of the Prilosec, try kefir. You can get it at Wally World for aobut $2.75 for a bottle called Lifeway. Near the yogurt area. It calms the indegestion and puts probiotics in your stomach which will help it heal. Tases a lot like buttermilk so if you dont like the taste mix it with some of your favorite (non citrus) juice. Grape works well.
