I doubled the size of mine in January when I realized what was likely coming. Glad I did. Ive been learning natural medicine as well and certainly been adding some medicinal plants that I already use on myself to fight a pile of tickborne illnesses- natural antibiotics, anti virals, anti parasitics etc.

The regular flu will infect far far more than COVID 19 has. It isn't even close. COVID will have to go buck ass nuts to catch up. Is COVID worse than the flu, in most cases yes and you are correct does have a higher death rate too but this whole country wide lockdown is ridiculous. We didn't do that for the swine flu which killed far more people than COVID will.

Any given year the flu will infect upwards of 40-50 million in the US alone and kill 60-80k. Worldwide the flu infects upwards of 1 billion, killing on average half a million. COVID so far is just under 400k worldwide, less than 50k in the US and we as of this morning have lost less than 600. So why the need to create panic 24/7 on the news?

I know the only comeback will be that if we all do our part and "social distance," and stay home then we can "flatten the curve." News flash, we're in a pandemic every single year from the flu, common cold and many other diseases so what the fuck now? Not to mention the virus has reached our shores well before January/February this year.

I'm still not convinced we are going to be close to what the dooms day sayers are predicting. When all is said and done looking back at the numbers the year will look like the now and then uptick for the flu like season but not world ending.

First, I don't think anyone here said that millions won't get sick. Some of us may have already had it, others will get it. However, 99%+ won't suffer any lasting effects. The number of cases we all agree is well beyond the reported number. All the greater our argument that it's blown WAY out of proportion. There's a good chance dozens or hundreds of Hide members already had it and showed little/no symptoms. The mortality rate being reported is around 2% give or take, and that's with just a fraction of people actually infected being counted, but 100% of those dying with it counted in the mortality rate (even if they died from complications from the virus, not the virus itself, ie. underlying prior conditions). Point is, the mortality statistics are whoa-fully skewed...

Getting IDs costs time and money. Thing people in poverty don't have. When you have to work multiple jobs to put food on the table and have a roof over your head, plus those jobs don't offer PTO, it's a hell of a challenge.
