Whatcha Ridin ?

Cruised around on this a little bit, but have it tore into million pieces now. Finishing it up this spring and also in the market for a husky 701 enduro

Yup, 72 CL350. Cool little bikes. You should get another one! They are really cheap, parts are cheap and easy to get, and doubt you will pass another one.

Main reason I picked a CL350 is because I wanted to cruise the gravel and country roads near me. I have no intrest in being in traffic anymore with all these retards on the phone. CL350 isn't fast enough to get me in trouble but still will cruise at 60mph easily.

These two among others. Just got the R90s back from service for it's 50th birthday.

I had a buddy who owned one of each of those... he sold the Paul Smart after a few years with almost no miles... Made out like a bandit. Still has the R90...

Two utterly iconic bikes!!! I almost bought a Paul Smart... but got my 750SS instead and that was more than powerful enough!!!

Gorgeous!!!!

Thank you!

The 750ss is a very nice bike. I owned a 1993 Superlight until I sold it to a good friend recently. It's in good company parked next to his 1990 Honda RC30. Have a good evening!

Too old? We just hauled an 82 y/o WOMAN with a broken humorous and ribs to the hospital. She was alpine skiing at CBMR.

Never too old to ride!! I ride hard enduro with dudes in their 60's. Youngsters in the group are around 50......

Man you and I would get on proper well!

Story time: I was having a couple cheap beers at a divey kind of tavern and noticed a Ducati 1098R Bayliss edition as I went to leave. I had to know who owned it, so I went inside and asked a group of guys with helmets (who were clearly not Harley riders...). One guys says it's his, and asks if I backed over it. I told him no, I ride a 748R and had to see about his bike.

Well, we get to talking and not only he has this 1098R Bayliss, but another 1098R, and an 1198 Tricolor and a 999R, and then hits me with he and "his wife have matching Desmo RRs." I called bullshit and dude immediately whips out his phone and starts showing me pictures of his Desmos. And his wife, who was hotter than a coon dog on a fresh track.

We get to pictures of his garage. And. It. Is. Massive. Like he has rows and columns of bikes, probably a dozen Ducatis, along with MV Agustas and Aprilias and many R or otherwise limited models from all of them.

Dude was cool as shit and had one of the most impressive motorcycle collections I've ever seen.

I have a good friend that used to own a yellow 748. Beautiful bikes! I'm sure you enjoy your 748r. It sounds like we could spend a few hours talking about bikes. I met one of my idols in the audio world for the first time a couple of years ago. He is an engineer and has designed many audiophile amps and preamps for the two companies he started. He found out I liked motorcycles and we talked for a hour about bikes and never did discuss stereos.

Thank you!

I still have mine... 1992 750SS half-fairing... really rare as everyone wanted the 900 SS and most opted for the full-fairing.

Stock picture. I stopped riding it about 10 years ago, but had it fully-serviced, drained and fogged. At the time, they were worth about nothing... and most were flogged out.

It's still in my garage, and like new! It'll find a new home eventually. They are starting to really appreciate! Only mods are a couple of "Fast by Feracci" goodies that everyone put on back in the days.

It wasn't a bike you rode. It was a bike you strapped on and wore like a fine suit!!!

It was (and is) scary fast!!!

Same buddy with the Paul Smart and the R90S had a Bimota with the big modded Ducati engine... one of the few bikes that I rode for about a minute and turned around and took it back to him and said... "nope." This one is just too much for me! Even to take a few times around the block.

Funny story, he bought the Bimota with something like 150 miles on it c. 2005. First owner could not keep it running. Endless electrical problems! But, my buddy is an electrical engineer and was a chip designer... PhD geek! So, he stripped out the whole electrical system. Bimota was on its last legs when it built that bike. Scraping the bottom of the financial barrel. The wiring harness was all spliced together from scraps of wire! A black would go into the harness... was spliced onto a couple of feet of red. Then Yellow came out the other end. Every single wire was 'bits and pieces' of random colors and gauges made into a harness. Nothing was in a proper circuit... The whole electrical system was just trash! So he put together a proper wiring harness with the right colors and gauges. After that the bike was flawless! We had some awesome rides with me on the 750 and him on the Bimota around Northern VT. Some insane speeds on some of the empty roads up along the border! Good times!!!

Sadly, his riding days are done... but he kept the R90S. I've been tempted to ask him to sell it to me some day. But I'd never ride it enough. Amazing machine... One of the most beautiful bikes ever built!!! Same as yours with the orange paint. Stunning.

I have ridden a few motorcycles but never owned one. The one I did want I saw in 2001 in Clinton, Texas (near Greenville) in a salvage yard. Someone had restored a 1969 H-D Shovelhead. Last of the iron horse when AMF bought the company and started using alloy blocks.

King and queen seat with a short sissy bar. 12 inch ape hangers. 23 degree rake on the front end. Shorty pipes. Original gear case. All chain drive. The one thing not stock was the 42 mm Del Orto carb on it. Back then, they wanted 9G for it. I just didn't have it, even though that was a good deal.

Bought this Hayabusa new for my 35th birthday in 2000 still ride it and keep her nice and clean.
Prior to this was 1990 GSXR 1100, 1987 Honda Hurricane, 1985 V65 Magna, 1982 Suzuki GS650G, many dirt bikes before that. Didn’t have a drivers license for a car until I was almost 25. Only a motorcycle license.
