Little project today, my old fire pit was falling apart. Made a Home Depot trip this morning for some supplies. Just finished it up. Test it out tonight with a cold drink.

That's good stuff right there. Makes the chores fun and educational. That's a really big propane tank too.
Nice job big guy! Planning on doing the same. Gonna have some mighty fine weather to sit around it.

And I will be making a legendary speech about our heroes (yes you 1J04) who served our republic so bravely and a great few minutes (a moment is not enough) of silence for those lost. Both on the battlefield and at home from the devils that haunt them later on.
You men (and ladies) who served have our love, respect, and gratitude.
Momma’s kids are being little shits, so me and my angel are staying at our place. She just kicked my sally ass at basketball for an hour. Think I need some nitro.....
Its good for us to have a little “just us” time anyways.

So. I love whitewater. Rafting and kayaking. Needed to get a bigger boat both for bigger family and for overnight trips on the river. If you have never rafted to a sandbar, had beers around a fire, camped out, and boated away on the AM it is so much fun.
Anyways. Got the boat. Needed to start some work to get it ready today. 26” more snow in the mtns the last 5 days has put us well above average and the runoff will be great.

3rd pic is “footcups” I glued in today. They allow the front passengers to keep themselves in via feet locked in. Otherwise they may eject in rowdy whitewater.
Also have a frame and oars for it. For overnights and fishing. And anything else we dream up.....

locally a dude was selling a 3 year old model (exact same boat) for more than I bought this for brand new. Cash at the dealer spoke volumes. Plus I get extra years of warranty........
My little stinker loved being there to open it up. She was all set to take a nap in it this afternoon, but wanted to watch some cartoons instead. and have a virgin margarita. Daddy took her share of tequila...... ?

Im not sure how many I had last night, but enough! Also been having some weird muscle crap in my neck so a double headache this AM. Usually don't get hangover headaches, so blaming it on the neck muscles and being a pussy.
Crap, think I just posted about taking the kids riding horses in the NomNom thread...... my brain is wore out. Need to go to work to let it rest!

So today we went to church, had lunch at my place.
Lunch was 50/50 venison/Iowa beef tacos, with fresh veggies and margaritas (booze free for kids....)
Then we took off to my friend from works place up in the foothills to see her little farm and critters. She has 7 horses, 4 normal size and 3 miniature.
Kids fed them. Groomed them some as they are shedding like crazy. Then we saddled a couple up and the kids all got a few rides.
I am whipped from all of it and we all had a blast. My friend offered to bring the horses down in June for the kids’ shared birthday party (their birthdays are 4 days apart). That just got crazier!

Had some open the barbed wire gate and drive on my property this weekend. Gate is never used so had to drive over a few small trees and its extremely wet. Half to keep an eye on that.

Dang man, that's some driving. I do trips like that with my oldest brother. No one else can hang like that. Last fall we did a run to IA on Friday afternoon/night, loaded 2 cows up Sat AM, and hauled back to CO. Good times.....

Me dicking around this weekend with a SS109 mated inside a 338LM Raptor ESP. No testing firing or anything, more of just a "conversation piece". It wouldn't fly worth a damn the way it is.
I think you might be able to fit a pistol or two in between a few rifles... maybe.
I don't shoot handguns very much so they get relegated to a separate safe in the back of the closet.
