Good times. Enjoy this time (I know you do). There’s no doubt he’s your kid ??

Yeah, to underscore the importance of Mr. Nichol's statement.......what you are looking at and experiencing right now are the most important years, without any question. Make the absolute most of them and dedicate 110% of your time to him now. These are the best times of your lives. Grab them and hold onto them with extreme selfishness.

Prior to the other day it hasn't rained here in over a month, and I haven't mowed in about 6 weeks. I've been mowing this year on a different program. I only mow after we get a substantial rainfall. In previous years I'd mow based on forecasts, and they'd often fail me.
In addition to dry it's been hot as hell until this week.
Today, after good rains and cooler weather, I finally cut the grass.
I didn't even expect the results to be this good.
There was a lot of dead brown stuff on top, but when it was cleared away I had a really good base of fescue coming back to life.

Absolutely Gorgeous !! Just an incredible place. Never get tired of seeing your place my friend. Your devotion to keeping it picture perfect is admirable AND apparent. (y);)

Pics still to come when I can get to the laptop, today started with the Singapore Flyer, then lunch on top of Marina Bay Sands hotel before going to Raffles for some Singapore Slings. Back to our hotel for drinks in the rooftop pool. Now sitting in the bar contemplating dinner.
Dinner? It ain’t even time fir breakfast yet ?

The leaves are starting to turn colors. When I get back here the first week of November they will be full color. Usually by the end of the week the trees will almost be bare. Sitting in the stand watching that is awesome.

Moving from CA to MT , seasons are just one of the many things that I'll never be able give up now.

@barneybdb

Who’s that old fart with the big mustache?

Looks like a good ole boy. ?

Based on the lady beside him, he married WAY up! ?

Enjoy your trip buddy.

We both looked a bit different 41 years ago at the wedding, as for the "tache" Pam cut most of it off last week, seems I have a habit of setting fire to parts of it when trying to do fine welding. She has never actually seen me without it. Only ever lost it during some deployments. Trip is now becoming more relaxed since I pointed out we have six days left and we have already covered most of her aims.

Lived there from 92-96 (kindergarten through third grade). You can't go wrong with the hawker stalls (I think one of them has a Michelin star). My family really enjoyed roti prata (sp?). I always liked the saute stuff on bamboo skewers. Would love to go back.

This tree has had a family of coons living in it for years. I've had them to peek from the holes and watch me. They usually come out or return when it's too dark for pictures.

This evening will be the first time that the wind is right to hunt this stand. I hope a big boy will cross one of the shooting lanes. The field is cut so that's a bonus.

Early Christmas present for me! Got the call my tax stamp came in yesterday. Took some time today to go get it! Now if I can get some decent weather to shoot my 300 win mag.

Congrats on the can Moose. It poured like all holly hell last night. Ton of Deer out in the wind and rain on the way home at midnight. Seen a dandy Buck near Naselle. Wind knocked a bunch more leaf's down. What a mess.

Buddy just sent me this. Another stud of a Blacktail up here in your AO. You probably know him. ?

I finally got the combination of caught up (almost) and good weather and brought out the beloved old '72 Annie for a little trigger time this afternoon.
Honestly I'm a bit rusty. Haven't shot targets in I don't know how long.

50 yards / Center-X
If it comes to it I'd sell a kidney before I'd this rifle!
