Maggie’s What's Your View II

Well, bums pulled it off. Jamie has a good time with the tailgating stuff. Got a little glitter in the beard

Go Pack Go! I think SF will be tough sledding, but hope they make it. Us IA folks don’t have a team, so over the years we have to adopt out of state teams. Here you like GB, CHI, MN, or KC. The choice is yours.

We are having our family Christmas gathering this 18th. As in the past we have a no gift policy except for the grand/great grand kids. The Child Bride and I no longer pile on toys, the rest of the family more than takes care of that for the two youngest. We lean towards more educational things like books and a monthly box of fun stuff from the Kiwi Company.

This year I'm starting a new tradition for the grandkids

Something of lasting value.

Like Marinevet1, we give all the kids a Silver Eagle for the current year at Christmas. We buy a tube or two and stash the rest.

@Mooseknuckles
Got the same rifle for my kiddo a few years back. She loves shooting it!

Hers was on display at the local shop/range and wasnt selling for a couple months.
Had a cool laminate stock that was red white and blue (for sale on Crickets website still I think) that I knew she would go bananas over.

Explaining to a kindergartener why they cannot take their rifle to school for show and tell is hard without using words like commie, pussy, spineless girly-men, and a few others.......

Her and I shooting it at my friend’s right after she got it. I was still married.....

we are supposed to get a little more tonight and possibly tomorrow, luckily for me. Ot road calls with broke down trucks lol.
Although the overtime would be nice.

Ya it's on again off again at home still. Wrenched my farging back last night so just staring out the windows at it. I heard Raymond got hit pretty good.

Yeah it’s been the same up here. Didn’t get it to bad in town but up 101 north and highway 6 got hit hard.
I actually screwed my back up Monday night. Damn near couldn’t get out of the chair yesterday. Painful today working on shit.

So sitting on a hard chair reloadind or lifting past about 30 lbs crushes my nerves causing severe pain and questionable ability to walk.

Had surgery allready and risking it again is not #1 on my list. Workplace injury and a shitty surgeon.

So do you think I can get relief from this with the inversion table?

Eating opioids and drinking daily to just walk.

Sleep wtf is that, happens when compleatly passed out by meds and booze.

What’s your mri look like?

Still chunks in there.
The shitty workmans comp doctor said well we can try again.

I informed the stupid mother fucker there would not be any we and complained to the state med board which is exactly like pissing in the wind.

You can not sue workmans comp doctors and the worst doctors ever are there because they can't hold a real job.
Told him if I caught him out somewhere I would fix his hands so he cant fuck up anyone else.

Slightly bitter I suppose?

24/7/365 pain.

Very cool. I'll see if I can do the same regarding the one I'll get to in the next couple days. Around the turn of the century a Mother and her two babies died within a few days of birth. It's on a point over looking the river. Beautiful place really. When I'm up there I clean the place up a tad outta respect. Someone leaves little knick knacks n toys from time to time. The apple orchard around the place is being over taken by the timber unfortunately. The trees are getting beat up pretty bad from the Bears climbing them. It amazes me not many people know of the place.

Got it. Now, for the discerning eye, look closer. lmfao

@Snuby642

you are right about work comp docs. Had to see one 13 yrs ago for a hernia I got saving a fat lady’s life.

I refused to let him touch my nuts and demanded a referral to the surgeon.

All he tried to do was push meds. A new script every visit. And I only took 3 pills total.....

sorry about your shit.

go see a good neurosurgeon. PM me where you are in TX. I got homies and we can see about a good referral from folks who know stuff.
Work done right is key. Work done by a fence post setter with a Buck knife and fencing pliers is not.
and try the table.

I know I should not complain.
Lots of folks worse off than me.

I have a lot of powerfull meds and use them sparingly, have cut my drinking some lately. Probably should medicate more to make up for it.

Just mad today that my back and leg pain cost me a range day.

Stripping things from my range bag to lighten it. Today filled my sand bags with polyfill like the kind in bean bag chairs. Range dope book and dedicated phone for ballistic calculator are out, its back to 3x5 cards a small note pad nor redundant stuff.

Was hurting my back and leg to walk the range.

Walking the deer trail late today to my 760 yard target. Coyotes finally caught up with my friend that flushed every time I went down there to paint steel. For years we were known for a healthy pheasant population, but the song dogs have cut those numbers significantly. Judging by the meat color, it’s a fresh kill. This was ten steps from my target. Neighbor boys have been notified and are on it.

My range bag, turned into a range cart. Toss the guns and gear in there for the short walk.

I ran the length of a football field with a 15.5 gallon keg, outrunning the cops in highschool........if that counts. Got away, keg and all. I was quite popular at that party..........

(edit; disclosure; it was half full......but, I bet that sumbitch was still 75 pounds.)

Not to derail the thread, but had a great conversation today with @jetmd ^^^ late this afternoon. Turns out we both graduated from the same high school just a year apart from a little fart of a town just south of Waterloo IA. Hadn’t talked in probably 35 years. A lot of common interests. Who da thunk? Small world.
