Maggie’s What's Your View II

Well pisser.

with everything being jacked with kid programs this summer, had my occasional babysitter (Snow days, teacher work days) set up for Mondays and Tuesdays.

get a message she fell on boat dock getting onto her family boat yesterday and is in my hospital to get surgery on the busted leg....

Anyone know a babysitter on the west side of the Denver metro? Preferably Lakewood?

@lowlight - you need a poorly paid side gig hanging with an energetic 8 yr old?? 🤣
That’s the shits, sorry E.

As far as L/L, I think he has his hands full with an over abundance of 8 year olds on a certain website that he has more than a little to do with....... :ROFLMAO:

Makes you wonder what purpose some things serve, besides food for other stuff

That’s a bummer. Who’s going to watch her now?

good question.

im looking at options.
Have a couple feelers out. Im not the guy to let just anyone watch my kiddo.
Im looking. Will make some calls tomorrow.
Probably look to the unemployed teens from church as a good option.
All my friends work for a living. And their kids are grown or too young.

It will all work out, just wanted to whine a little! 😁

Interviewing, checking references, and doing background/financials on a potential babysitter. Very nice lady to talk to.

watches kids for other families in the medical business as well, so probably decent references.

This is a major blessing.

she provides food and asked if $5/hr in her home seemed reasonable. I like it.

It's just not letting up. Well, maybe a teeny weeny bit. But not much more than that!.

Then my eldest sent me his view this morning from the Oregon side when he got to a little sideline job doing shingles. His view of the Columbia.

Yeah, dated a lady in Portland for a couple years. She tried to convince me to move there after I retired...can't do all the rain and clouds. Beautiful country when it isn't raining, but that doesn't happen often enough for me.

I hear you Brother. Ain't for everyone. I grew up in a fishing village on the Olympic Peninsula (Sekiu) near the rainforest where we get over 9 feet of rain on average a year. 9 Foot Average! That's WET!🤣

It's clearing up Barney, unlike when you visited us. Dry out and 61 on drive home. Can even see the top of the Ridge from my driveway!

I figure you can see bullet splash in the clay bank over there on the bottom pic.🤣😳
Had the same drive, cleared up today and was decent. Well the other direction.
What’s the distance on that clay bank? Think my 7.5 inch 300 blk out could hit it 😂

Yep that was me! I was head to Long Beach, then chinook then illwaco then naselle. Made it back to the shop around 3 today.

I knew I shoulda sent you a quick text! My bad.

Ok, my Zeiss RF doesn't wanna play past 1452 today. Best guess? 1600! Very doable poke for a 300 BO with 220 SMK's, if you do your part!🤣

Made the mistake of doing a bunch of hikes in the Milford sound area of the South island of NZ last year. Fucking 11 meters of rain in 27 days. Never experienced anything like that in my life. Not the place to be Jan. - March...

I can't imagine that kind of rain. That's about 2 yrs worth where I am in Georgia (Dixie, not commie europe).

After a rough day yesterday, we are taking 2 of our food joints to a concert about an hour from our place. She’s a bit heavy for the dually but it’ll work View attachment 7349107

There is a new country in Seattle that would be willing to offer barter for your food services.

You would trade your fries for some lectures on Lesbian/Gay/Trans Racial Womens Studies from somebody with a few hundred $K in student loans and a doctorate, no?
