I think the phrase ‘has a screw loose’ and ‘has a squirrel loose’ may be interchangeable in this instance.I knew you had a squirrel problem but didn’t realize it was that bad
On county line access road on the drive in to the lease this morning 0900hrs.
Filled two feeders, and repaired another.
Then @8pointer and I shot golf balls with the 22s for a while.

our welcome committee leaving our new property in the Black Hills, yep we pulled the plug and sold our place in Minnesota and bought one in South Dakota. 3 years of looking and it all fell together in 3 months time, I’m going to retire anytime now and enjoy myself. Politics more my liking in this state and much better taxes. Rah!!

Just left the house to run a couple errands (groceries and primers....)
See a guy waving the US flag and wearing a MAGA hat. He is pretty short (even shorter than @lowlight).
I said, screw it, Im not in that big of hurry and turned around.
We patriots need to stick together and I felt the drive to meet this guy, thank him for his awesome work he is doing.
So Chris has Down’s and does this every Saturday (I have just never seen him).
Im behind schedule due to morning events taking longer than anticipated or I would have went home, grabbed a flag, and joined him.
He confirmed its about this time, so next weekend my kiddo and I will be there with him.
He told me he cant wait to go to the polls and vote for Donald J Trump for president again!!!
Made my freakin day!

For as long as I can remember my dad has wanted an 1858 army but didn't want black powder. I've shown him the conversions and the kits.
Well after most likely 20 years of my dad saying he wants one. We picked up a .45 colt conversion today. First time I've ever seen him excited about a gun.

Between opening envelopes and boxes full of Squirrels, actually got another coat of primer on, floor ground down smooth, and the base and casters on a high portable table in the crafts room!

This was a few hours ago coming home ... had to help an a neighbor get this little asshole back to the right property. Apparently this happens often... Took all of about 2 minutes to get him pointed the right direction.

I lived in Rapid City for 12yrs and never found any agates. ☹
I did find a few petrified dinosaur eggs in NW Harding County.
Mostly just the prairie agates down on the Ogalala grasslands are what I’m finding, no super pretty Fairburns yet, but I’m still hunting for them. Still, prairie agates are pretty neat after you run them through the tumbler, have a batch in right now that should be ready in a month or so.
During hunting season, if you take one of those walnuts, and peel the green husk off, you can rub the brown insides all over your face and hands. It is a great natural camo.
