Seems like the trend has been headed toward smaller calibers lower recoiling calibers.
Has anyone seen much of the 22x47/22CM out at the matches? Heard some folks talking that match speed limits may be coming down from 3100-3200 to something like 3000.
That would eliminate the benefit of those hot rod 22 and to a lesser extent some of the 6mm stuff.
If it isn't, are we going see the most competitive guys using 95 SMK @ 3200ish fps? That's flat shooting, bucks the wind hard and has less recoil than anything comparable in 6mm.
Spoke to someone as well today, maybe not in the know, but indicated that there was also talk of removing hit indicators on steel especially at distance to discourage the use of smaller calibers?
