Rifle Scopes Which Steiner reticle for 700y ?

Decided on the 3-15 Military for my 18" AR15 SPR and 18" AR10 .308. Now trying to decide between the G2MD or the MSR. Everthing from 25y and out to 700 on steel. Lots of smallish targets, any suggestions? Would be swapping between the two platforms until funds free up for a dedicated scope per rifle. Shooting 77gr past 300, and 168's mostly.

Edit : Just wanted to add that low power speed is just as important to me as high end resolution and clarity for this application.

If you aren't miling targets, save the money and get the G2.

I've used both reticles in a steiner out to 700. Having used both I'd recommend the G2MD. There's not enough of a difference in reticle thickness to make any difference so regardless the target size its you really won't notice much between the two. With a 15X scope you can see the mil dot on the G2MD better than you can the smaller half mil hash on the MSR at all mag levels.

Thanks for the quick responses. Is the G2MD better suited for dialing compared to the more detailed MSR? I would be range estimating half the time. I have some access to property where targets would be improvised.

ummmm... you kinda lost me with "is the G2MD better suited for dialing", If you are dialing, the center reticle is fairly similar between the two - nothing worth a price difference. The advantage of the MSR reticle is the 0.1 MIL grid (for MILing targetss) in the lower left hand corner. With the G2MD, 0.5 MIL is the smallest graduation.

.... I'm wondering if the solid dots of the G2MD would obscure smaller targets at greater distances when attempting to use holds on elevation. The finer detailed MSR looks better suited for that purpose.
