Who leaves spelling/grammar mistakes in their posts on purpose?

hehehhehhehhhehehheh, I do. Gives certain lovable personalities something to do, and frankly I love reading the correction posts, some are epic in incite and thoughtfulness.

It ain't any more dainty to loose the c, Jerry.

It's ...

FUCK, FUCK, FUCK, FUCK

... all damned day long, you knob.

I will say that “Creedmore” just about drives me insane...
I prefer the super hybrid version, Creedmoore. Almost as bad is the 6 different ways people are spelling Valkyrie right now. Then there's the people that say Hornaday.
I'm still pretty confused by a new trend I've seen in which the words sale and sell are used interchangeably. Hopefully someone can explain that to me.

And what happened to Gunfightersomethingorother? There is no way he really didn't know how to spell the word and.

Now you got my blood pressure up. Advice/advise, shoot/shot, poll/pole, roll/role, low and behold instead of lo and behold, loose/lose (@Bender), peaked/piqued.
Just a few of the things I see here daily that cause me sadness.

despite most everyone knowing that spellcheck messes things up (and doesn't catch everything), seems a lot don't bother to read their posts, texts, emails, etc before letting them fly.

In my defense, I spelling-nazi patrolled a guy just above in that thread.... and I completely blew myself off my high-horse with “loose”... touché...

I like when the wrong word is used than it is missed . Like then and than .
What drives me fuckin nuts is improper machinist/machine tool speak .
It's a pillar block not a fuckin pillow block . My fuckin head explodes over that one .

What's the name of that sharp thing you use on a turn table that takes the material off?

You think all this is fun, try picking up a reproduction of an original printing of something like the KJV bible or the tales of King Arthur or something like that from when spelling was still basically... close enough and when spaces were not in use yet or punctuation.
That makes for some slow reading.

I noticed that you caught that also.

Dont worry about spelling.

Thats what my kids teachers say.

In another ten years there will be no such thing as proper spelling everyone younger than 20 will write "Pidgin English" and your Apple will just change the words to reflect the approved agenda.

In 50 yrs they'll be looking for a piece of soapstone to make cave art.

Bring on the generational bleach...

We are probably going to eventually wind up like the Egyptians.

We have this nice really well built language with endless ways to describe most everything and make yourself clearly understood.

So of course the next generation will just want to use cute pictures on their cell phones to communicate with a few abreviations thrown in.

Before long the following generation will just be back to hieroglyphics on their cell phones and they will have totally forgotten how to actually write words, let alone sentences or deity forbid.... paragraphs.

Today's our delayed Thanksgiving. I just deboned the turkey neck in the pre-gravy, and I'm on enough of a break to say that people pay to know that every t is crossed, every i is dotted, and the intent of a document in each part and as a whole is unquestionable. As I said before, it's force of habit.
