Gunsmithing Who makes DBMs for 6.5x55 Mauser or 6.5-06 cartridges? Double stack if possible.

Just use a AICS for a 300 Win Mag. You have to tweak the feed lips slightly, but it's pretty easy.

Exactly, that's what I did with my green monster 6.5 Swede

Thanks for suggesting the AICS 300WM magazines. I will try one of those.

BTW: Nice, effective camo. If it were not for the bipod, brake and pad you would probably run the risk of loosing the rifle somewhere.

I am building a swede too, and can't visualize mod - what does the feed lip look like after tweaking? thanks

This is what the magazine will look like before and after. Tweak the lips a bit so that the case doesn't slip backwards.

I bought a PTG long action Stealth in a Rem 700. I did the bedding on a pre-inletted McMillan HTG.

I used a small rubber mallet. Tap lightly and don't beat the shit out of it and you will fine. I didn't have any pliers that would fit between the feed lips but I suppose that would work too.

Do you insert anything in the mag? Meaning just a thought about using a block of wood for the length of the magazine, but topped off with a 6.5x55 case so as to form it better?

No, I didn't use anything. I did one mag where I flipped it over and pressed each feed lip against the work bench and gave the bottom several taps with the hammer. That worked too. The feed lips are stiff enough to bend evenly on each side.

The question really depends on what action you are using and need the DBM floorplate to fit. As others have said any standard 30-06 magazine should work fine without bending the lips or fussing with other mods.
